Author's POV:

As soon as they reached to the station, Taehyung went straight into his cabin. Jin was contemplating whether or not to follow him inside.

"Jin!", Hoseok called.

"Yeah?"

"Can you please give this to captain. I have an urgent call to attend. These are the details of our victim and his family. I have already informed them and they are on their way here", said Hoseok before running off.

Jin stared at the envelope in his hand. Now he had no choice but to go inside. He knocked on the door.

"Come in"

Taehyung looked up from his laptop, "Yes?".

"Hoseok handed me this envelope, it contains details of our victim and his family. Family has been informed and are on their way here", Jin said.

"Alright fine. Let's go through the details, shall we?", Taehyung said while opening the envelope in his hand.

Jin nodded while sitting down on the chair opposite to Taehyung.

"Kim Woojin, 29 years old male. Stays at xxxx apartments with his parents. He works in a pharmaceutical company. His parents, Kim Hyunbin and Kim Eunbi are retired", Jin explained.

"They seem like a normal family. He seems like someone from a good family. Who might be having problems with their family or him? I guess we have to ask his parents about it", said Taehyung. Jin nodded.

"Y-you don't look so good. We can take care of the case for a day if you want", Jin finally said it out loud after a lot of thinking to himself.

"I am the captain. If there's a murder case I have to be here. Thanks for the concern, lieutenant Kim", Taehyung said.

"Uh- okay. Do you want me to leave?", Jin asked as it got unbearable for him to see Taehyung act this way towards him.

"No need. Since you are already here, I might as well hear your strategy", Taehyung said.

They discussed the case for a while without getting diverted by the fact that they just broke up today. Taehyung and Seokjin were skilled professionals when it came to their work.

Their discussion was interrupted by Hoseok, "Captain, Kim Woojin's family is here. They have confirmed that the body belongs to their son".

"Alright", Taehyung said while getting up from his seat. He left the room without sparing another glance at Jin who was still sitting inside. Jin quietly followed him out.

They saw an old couple sobbing on bench.

"Mr and Mrs Kim, I am sorry for your loss. I am Kim Taehyung, I am leading the investigation for your son's-", he couldn't complete the statement as he saw the devastated couple.

"I know you aren't in a state of mind to answer our questions but if you do it will be really helpful to us. Sooner we get some answers sooner we will be able to find who did this to your son", Taehyung said. The older looking man, Kim Hyunbin nodded as his wife sobbed in his arms.

"Mr Hyunbin, can you please tell us whether your son angered anyone or if he had any enemies, who might do this to him?", Taehyung asked.

Hyunbin shook his head, "Our son was nice to everyone, you will never hear complaints about him from any one of his colleagues or our neighbours. How could he possibly have any enemies?".
