Taehyung was pulled out of his trance as Jin said, "caught it". Then Taehyung looked down at the water bottle in other's hands which he almost forgot about.

(Now)

Taehyung smiled looking at the bottle in Jin's hand and said, "so I guess it is possible". Jin nodded absentmindedly but his focus was still on other's hand which was still wrapped around his waist as he stood up.

"So the experiment is over", Taehyung said while pulling his hand away. Jin nodded.

"So what do you think? Is Daeseong telling the truth?", Jin asked trying to divert himself from the butterflies he had in his stomach.

"If I am being honest, getting all the proofs against Daeseong was just so easy that I don't feel right. I feel like we are getting things really easily", Taehyung replied.

"Exactly! That was going on in my mind too. I mean think about it, Daeseong wanted divorce from Hana, so why would he kill her before they can get divorce?", Jin said.

"Hm you are right. Also just because Daeseong was present at that location doesn't mean that someone else was not. So before Daeseong came to his house maybe someone came and left", Taehyung said. Jin nodded and got lost in his thoughts. Taehyung saw Jin was biting his lips unknowingly. Taehyung couldn't take his eyes of them.

"But if not Daeseong, then who has the motive?", Jin said diverting Taehyung's attention.

Taehyung stayed silent. Jin came closer to him, "don't tell me you still think it's him, Jihu". Taehyung smiled as the other read his thoughts effortlessly.

"But Taehyung!", Jin was about to say something else but went silent as he realised what he just said. Taehyung was also staring at him with his eyebrow raised.

Jin scratched his neck nervously, "I-I mean cap, we don't have any leads against him. His track record is clear, he was in fact a close friend of Hana and his location was also somewhere else".

"That's what is making me doubt him more", Taehyung said while looking away.

Jin tugged onto Taehyung's shirt as the other was about to leave, "wait, what did Daeseong mean by Jihu being the reason his marriage was ruined".

Taehyung turned and said, "that's what we have to find out now, so let's go now discuss it with the team".

Jin was a bit disappointed. He actually enjoyed their one-on-one discussion more. But then he shrugged his thoughts.

Jin was still standing there lost in his thoughts, Taehyung came back and said, "what happened? Come out everyone's waiting". Jin nodded and went outside.

They explained everything to the others. Then Taehyung said, "now we have to find out more about Hana's past, how was her life before. I am sure we'll find something there".

Everyone nodded in agreement. Hoseok and Yoongi decided to dig more in Hana's past and Taehyung told Jungkook to keep an eye on Jihu's movements. Taehyung and Jin decided to talk to Daeseong again. Jin was kinda happy that he was on Taehyung's team. He knew it was stupid of him but weirdly he wanted to be with Taehyung more these days. He just assured himself that it's only because he admires him as their captain.
