I have to admit that the days leading up to the party were pretty strange. Stefanie suddenly went missing, and since she was also Auriana's roommate, this caused Auriana to become very wary. Steve also went missing on March 7, which really caused the whole class to become very wary when walking around the school.
"In three weeks, two students went missing again," Aurora complained as she arrived at class on March 13.
"It's really scary, isn't it?" I asked.
"Of course, little Adira is scared of cowards cowering because of exams. They probably dropped out." Hailey ridiculed.
"We weren't talking to you Hailey." Aurora huffed.
"Does it look like I care who you were talking to? I can speak whenever I want to." Hailey replied with her annoying smirk.
"Whatever." Aurora sighed.
"I personally think it's really odd that students are disappearing," Heather commented as she sat down on her desk.
"Well, it's the school's responsibility to make sure we stay alive. So if the school isn't concerned about them we shouldn't either. Worry makes wrinkles and wrinkles aren't my friends." Hailey stated.
"She is just unbelievable," Zenny responded as Adrian nodded in agreement.
"I know I am, you don't have to compliment me, peasant." Hailey acknowledged.
"I didn't mean it as a compliment." Zenny smiled, and by the look on Hailey's face, I could tell she was getting annoyed with Zenny already. "Plus, I am no peasant to no human." Zenny retorted as she stared Hailey right in the eye.
Lewis and Hugo entered the classroom and saw the look on both of the girls' faces, so they grabbed Zenny and pulled her away from Hailey.
"Why don't we start this week in a positive way, like seriously girls, why can't we?" Lewis asked as he guided Zenny to her desk.
"Shut her up first, then we'll have a deal," Zenny answered.
"I agree with Zenny. Hailey is being insensitive because the ones who have gone missing aren't her friends, but the rest of us are worried about them. I even tried calling Sam yesterday, but her phone is still not responding." Aurora stated.
"Maybe she changed her phone," T.J suggested.
"Fine, Sam might've changed her phone, but what about Carlos? Federico tried calling him and the same happened. There is no way that they both changed their phone numbers." Aurora replied.
"I even tried emailing Stefanie yesterday, but she didn't respond," Maddie added.
"What if she was asleep? Time-zones change." Heather guessed.
"I emailed her in the morning, so even if she was asleep, she had a whole day to reply back," Maddie spoke.
Miss Gemma entered the classroom and saw all of us talking, so she started tapping her ruler on her desk to get our attention.
"What is going on here?" She asked.
"Miss Gemma?" Hailey raised her hand, "Why are the other students in this class?"
"Four students left their class, and it's pretty useless to use a whole room for only six students, so we transferred them here." Miss Gemma explained.
"But Miss, where did the other students go?" Aurora asked.
Miss Gemma thought for a second then answered: "Honestly I am not the one to ask. I am just a teacher. If you are curious you can ask the principal, but she's busy this week."
"Is there something we should worry about?" Maddie asked.
"No dear, there is no reason for you to worry. You should trust the school, the ones that left are safe, they are probably back home." Miss Gemma answered.
"But then why can't we get a hold of them?" Federico questioned.
"Maybe they changed their phones, or they might have dropped them. But I assure you that there is nothing for you to worry about, you are all safe." Miss Gemma replied.
But even though we all trusted Miss Gemma, we still couldn't shake the feeling of worry. When we were getting ready for the party, Zenny wore running shoes instead of formal shoes, in case she'll need to run or defend herself. My guess is that Zenny really takes into consideration many events in case they take place.
