After thirty minutes Zenny, Hugo, and Heather arrived. Heather looked like she had bad news, but Zenny and Hugo seemed neutral about it.

"Hailey is gone," Heather informed us.

"Thank goodness!" France exclaimed from underground.

"I know she's a brat, but it's still a bummer," Zenny replied, much to everyone's surprise.

"Don't you hate her?" Adrian asked.

"I don't like her, but no one deserves to go missing," Zenny spoke.

"I did not expect that from you," Adria replied.

"Yeah, yeah, I am unpredictable, I think we established that," Zenny responded, and honestly, that was the truest thing she has ever said.

Then she slid down the slide and joined the two boys. "What are you doing?" Heather asked.

"There is no way out of here, there is a reason for that. I am curious to know where these tunnels lead." Zenny answered from underground.

"What if they lead to a dead-end?" Lewis asked.

"Meh, fourteen years of life was enough then," Zenny replied with a smile.

"She obviously lost it." France sighed.

"Fine, you stay here, I will go on my own." Zenny retorted.

"Wait, I will go too," Adrian spoke as he slid down the slide as well.

It wasn't seconds later until Hugo and Adria did the same. I looked at Heather who was weirdly looking at me: "Don't you dare." She spoke, but I already made up my mind and slid down too.

"You people are idiots." She sighed.

   "Are you coming?" Zenny asked.

Heather rolled her eyes then slid down too. When she reached the bottom, she accidentally landed on Adria, but it was Heather who complained: "Oww, I already hate this. If we die on this, Zenny you are so dead."

"Yeah, well if we die then I am sure I would be dead. There is no doubt about that." Zenny replied, still smiling.

One side of the tunnel was a dead end, but the other was covered with metal bars. This was realized when the slide went back up.

"So that's how they disappeared without a trace," Lewis concluded. "The slide makes no sound when it goes back up."

"Well, no matter that. We are trapped." France spoke.

"No, we have a riddle." Zenny acknowledged.

She lit her flashlight to an area that had beakers. Each beaker had a liquid in it, and beside them was litmus paper. "A chemistry riddle," Lewis added as he smiled.

Lewis was always the best in class when it came to chemistry, so it wasn't a surprise that he was excited about the riddle being related to chemistry.

"Red litmus paper turns blue when in contact with a base, but stays red when in contact with an acid. We need acid to get through the metal bars." Lewis stated.

"But there are seven beakers but only six litmus papers," Adria remarked.

"What would be if the homework was a clue?" Hugo asked.

"Hugo there is no time for your messed up English." Heather sighed.

"No, he has a point. What if the homework was a clue? The chemistry homework. All of it was bases, so what if we only get one acid here." Zenny pointed out.

Lewis and Zenny both proceed to use the litmus paper and as it turned out, Hugo was right. All the beakers that were inspected had bases in them, so the last one would be acid.

The moment Lewis lifted the beaker, the metal bars were raised allowing us to get through. But we weren't out of the woods yet, because the moment we got through we were given another riddle.
