Zenny's P.O.V
By the end of April, Jack and Tom went missing. Federico got nervous because Tom was his roommate, but we comforted him and reassured him that we would look after him.
As I was hanging out with Lewis, Hugo came to us and started complaining: "Miss Camy confuse me."
"Confused." Lewis corrected.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Chemistry is hard," Hugo answered.
"What's hard about it?" Lewis questioned. "The homework was really easy, all that we had to do was guess which was an acid and which was a base."
"Acid and base, all was base," Hugo complained, in his thick German accent.
"Hugo, you have to spell the 'b' as base. If Hailey overhears you, we will have to sit through another argument." Lewis warned.
"I have my school English teacher not paying attention," Hugo replied.
"What?" I asked, unable to understand what he just uttered.
"Why is it that you only speak 'confusion' with us?" Lewis wondered.
"Because you are my teachers, you not judge." Hugo spoke, again in 'confusion'.
"I feel like you translate the words from German words to English words, forgetting the grammar part." I guessed.
"Yes." Hugo nodded.
"Well, that's why grammar is important Hugo. Look, the Alex twins went through the same thing last year, everyone who is taking English late does this, you should try speaking the way you hear us speak, you know?" Lewis explained.
"Sure." Hugo smiled.
"We are a long way from heaven." I sighed.
"At least we are getting somewhere, when he is around the others, he speaks flawlessly, minus the accent of course, but the accent is acceptable too, the words can still be heard," Lewis commented.
"He is right, now help me please in chemistry." Hugo pleaded.
"Repeat after me first, 'now, please help me in chemistry'," Lewis ordered.
"Now, please help me in chemistry." Hugo sighed. I thought the whole scene was funny, Hugo looked so done with Lewis that it was hard to not laugh.
"But there really is nothing wrong with your homework Hugo, all the answers are base," I spoke after I finished laughing.
"How? It is a trick." Hugo doubted.
"No she's right, all of these solutions are actually bases. They all cause the red litmus paper to get a blue color, so they are all bases." Lewis explained.
"I took this last year Hugo, I know this information," I spoke.
"That is so confusing. Why did they do that?" Hugo asked.
"Our teachers sure are mysterious." Lewis laughed.
"How come you can speak in wrong grammar and I can't?" Hugo asked as he pouted.
"You are learning, so you have to talk correctly, I already know the right terms," Lewis replied.
"Guys!" Aurora yelled as she approached us. "Jad disappeared, and so did Federico."
My face turned pale as my heart dropped. "How do you know?" I heard Lewis ask.
"I have been searching for them since morning. I asked everyone and no one has even seen or heard of them. I am really starting to get worried." She answered.
