Kaminari stood over the twisted cobra, tall and proud against the sun as new figures flooded the battlefield, fresh and ready to deliver some well-deserved punishment.

Hybrids of all shapes and familiar sizes appeared, providing a fresh wave of relief for the exhausted Eastern Alliance.

Hybrids who were heroes of old.

You see, while Bakugou initially rejected the idea that the other leaders suggested to look for them, giving his sound reasons why it would be a waste of resources if they couldn't find them in the end, that didn't mean he stopped looking for them.

He just simply didn't want his people to depend on their help if it would never come.

It took endless nights of pouring over old charts and territorial maps to narrow down the places where their old teachers could be hiding, but last night, he found one place that he knew they would be at.

Call it a gut feeling.

When Kirishima got captured and they had to proceed ahead of schedule, Bakugou knew that they weren't going to be enough to defeat the League of Outcasts. Preparation had been rushed and some of the warriors they had started to train for this battle weren't ready at all, especially since they sprang into action days early before they were supposed to.

So he ignored his pride and called on them, sending Kaminari to go get them. He knew his old teachers would be revving up with energy on getting to participate in one last big fight and go out with a bang if that's what this ended as.

Eraserhead, Present Mic, Snipe, Cementoss, Midnight, All Might, Vlad King and even Nezu arrived on the scene.

The hare rested his hands on his knees and panted heavily, having just sprinted a marathon to find them.

Bakugou smirked, standing up despite the pain that shot down his spine. "You're too fucking slow, Dunce Face!!!"

"Hey, that's so unfair!! I was going as fast as I could!!!" Kaminari wailed loudly.

Slowly, the sounds of battle came back into focus and the reinforcements circled the still standing army of Shigaraki's that the Eastern Alliance had managed to push back.

"C'mon Shouta, lemme at 'em!!" The white bellbird fluffed up his feathers, trying to look as intimidating as possible but it didn't do much else other than provide the knocked down cobra with some entertainment; Kaminari facepalming in embarrassment. His plumage puffed up but really, his voice was the most frightening thing.

Able to reach up to 126 decibels, it was loud enough to burst the eardrums of those closest to him, if he got serious. It would've been more scary if the bird didn't continuously dye his plumage a tacky yellow.

He declared that it cheered his best friend up. The scruffy opossum denied it every time.

Aizawa caught him by the nape of his neck as Yamada swung his fists wildly.

"Don't do it, Mic." He drawled lazily, setting him back down on the ground when he was sure he wouldn't take a chunk out of the cobra with his beak. "These guys aren't worth it anyways."

"But they hurt my Jirou!!" Yamada cried out, crossing his arms with a pout only to sputter as one of his feathers that had fallen off during his flailing got caught in his mouth.

That wasn't exactly true. Sure, his wolf prodigy had sustained minor injuries when they had passed her on the way in but ask anyone who had seen her fight would tell him that those guys that she went up against and took down definitely looked a lot worse.

"Maybe you boys should save the chit chat for later..." Kayama winked seductively as she sauntered over to the trapped traffickers, the viper licking her lips. "We have guests to take care of."

While she and Yamada charged at them, Snipe provided back up from far away. Hound Dog and Vlad King broke off to take care of those flanking a battered Shoji and Asui. Reassurance from their older teachers was here, swift and sure.

"Oi." Aizawa barked at his former student who was tending to you on the ground. "What took you so long?"

"Fuck off!!" Bakugou snarled angrily, ripping off a strip of his cape still on you and haphazardly tying it around your bleeding arm.

Aizawa sighed, the exasperated sound nothing new to anyone's ears. So his hotheaded student still hadn't learned.

He jerked his chin towards the outskirts. "Take her there and keep her safe. We'll deal with the rest of this."

"Not a chance in hell." Bakugou pushed back stubbornly, his leadership instincts and usual arrogance taking over.

Aizawa's eyes narrowed. "Bakugou, your first priority should be her. Once she's secure, I don't expect anything less of you than to join the fight."

The Barbarian King clicked his tongue in annoyance, shooting you down vehemently when you shakily told him it was okay to leave you behind.

"Of course you're fucking coming with me!!" He shouted as he picked you up and started running again, signaling for Kirishima to follow. "Where the fuck else are you going to go?!"

"I'm sorry!!" You yelped as he hoisted you higher in order to carry you better. "I just thought that—!"

"YOU FUCKING THOUGHT WRONG, YOU DUMBASS!!!!"

"AHHHH, DON'T YELL AT ME!!!"

"DON'T SPEW THAT SHIT THEN!!!"

Aizawa shook his head fondly after you two as you disappeared from sight, arguing back and forth the entire way until you reached the area where most of his former students had already gathered to administer emergency first-aid to those that needed it the most.

"Now." He announced dryly, facing the three soldiers that had halted before him and raised an eyebrow. "Tell me, where did your leader run off to?"

They shared a look among them and charged at him with a battle cry.

"No?" He gave a mock sigh of boredom and pulled something out from behind him. "Ah well, it was worth a shot."

Some kind of cloth shot out as he threw it at them, binding one of them and pinning their arms and legs together.

With a shocking amount of force and energy coming from the meek opossum, Aizawa propelled him into the other and all three fell into Kirishima's fire.

Sighing as he retracted the capture weapon, he ran to join where Snipe's position had been exposed from the thicket of the forest from far away.

But Nezu beat him to it. Contrary to popular belief, the mouse was surprisingly agile and a quick thinker.

Aizawa left him to it, darting off to help Todoroki when he spotted the dual-colored panther all alone in the clearing.

"Todoroki!!" He shouted. "Duck!!"
