Chapter 3 A Rocky Relationship Takes a Dive

A/N YeAhh Chapter 3 babies! Here we gooo! I'm excited for this one, if you haven't noticed I've been trying to make each chapter longer. So let me know how I'm doing. Anyway on to the story! Hehehh

Previously....

In the distance, you could hear trees breaking, Wukong also did as he turned his head sharply at the noise. Suddenly the ground shook, a quick yelp from Lieur had your tail reaching out and wrapping around them. The next tremor caused you to lose your footing, however Sun pulled you to him as you both watched the tree line.

The tremors stopped while you stayed tense, somethings coming and it's something big.

The trees shook from the force of whatever it was getting closer. All of a sudden a huge figure bursted through the treetops and landed right in front of you all.

The debris and dust flew out from the crash. You blocked your eyes before the dust settles and you found yourself face to face with a rock monster. It's head looked from each of the three of you before it roared out, causing more dust and debris to blow towards you.

Once the dust settled the monster shouted,
"You ruthless Sun Wukong,"
Slamming a fist onto the ground it leaned closer to you and Sun.
"I, the Mountain Lord am here to guard you, upon Great Buddha's order! How dare you escape!"

Your lover looked up with a mocking grin and teased,
"You? You're literally as dumb as a box of rocks," Wukong gestured at the monster with a smirk, "Come on, this doesn't have to get ugly, you're doing that all by yourself!"

The sound of laughter wasn't the response you nor Sun imagined from his remarks. Looking down at Wukong the monster sneers saying,
"Sun Wukong, you still bear the mark of Buddha's Punishment! You are now only a useless monkey,"

At that statement your lover glared at the shackle before he snapped his gaze back to the Mountain Lord at the next phrase.
"Just like your wife!" If you were furious, Wukong was livid at the insult directed at you. You took the chance to look at Lieur and the baby, seeing they were stable you removed your tail. Before you refocused back on Wukong and the pile of rocks.

Seeing Sun's snarling expression the Mountain Lord taunted,
"What outdated attitude is that of yours," your lover's hold on you tightened, glaring daggers towards the monster. Though you too felt the urge to utterly destroy the pile of rocks, you knew a fight could lead to potential harm to the children.

Placing your hand on his cheek you turned Sun's head to you. His murderous glare softened as your eyes met, shaking your head as you stated,
"It's not worth the fight, please."
You could see every part of your lover's being fighting against your wish as he begrudgingly nodded.

While the rock lord was still distracted, Wukong took the chance to escape. Grabbing you and slinging you over his shoulder, he began running deeper into the ravine. Alarmed that you abandoned the kids you yell at your lover,
"Wukong the kids are back there! We can't just leave them!"
He quickly retorted,
"They'll be safer there than with us! That pile of rocks only wants me!"

Looking over his shoulder you see the rock lord noticing you both were no longer present. It looked up and saw you and the running form of Wukong. Slamming both of its fists into the ground, it takes off after you both, yelling,
"Halt! Damned monkeys!" Quickly it jumped high into the air and soared over your forms.

Wukong hears and sees the lord overhead, quickly stopping his run as he tries to avoid the landing monster. Recovering the monster lunges for a punch as Wukong jumps up to evade, trying to keep both of you safe. Using the high walls of the ravine, Sun launches himself to the left; landing your lover quickly sets you down as you both turn to the being.
