Chapter 13 Dinner, Dancing, and a Date~

A/N hold the applause, hold the applause! Yes, yes, i know its been a looong 5 months, but if you read in my other monkey king book's newest chapters i explained what all happened. Shifting his eyes to your face, he sees the image of your younger self-dirt smudges and all-before it fades to you now. His eyes were soft before he brought your clasped hand to his mouth; pressing a tender kiss to it, he lightly smiled at the blush growing on your cheeks as he stated, "Yes, everything's perfect my love." Your shy smile caused his to grow before he led you both forward. You're both getting closer and closer to your beloved home.

————————Small Time Skip———————

You and Sun had been walking the trail for at least an hour and a half now. The closer you got you noticed small details that you could recall from your memories. Your eyes lit up at a peach tree; one that wasn't this big the last time you saw it. Smiling widely, you raised a hand and pointed it out. "Love! Look! It's the peach tree we planted!" You looked back to Sun to see him already staring at the tree in shock. Seeing his expression, you chuckled before asking, "Why so surprised dear?" He blinked before lowering his gaze to yours and stated, "Last time I saw this tree, it was barely up to your knee. Now it towers over both of us completely!"

You rolled your eyes as you playfully teased, "Well duh! It's been what? Over 500 years!" Sun looked at you before sighing out, "Yes. I'm aware Y/N." You smirked at his defeated expression before tugging him over to the tree; he looked at you confused while you picked a peach off. Turning it over in your hand, you brought it to your mouth before taking a bite. The sweet taste hit your taste buds while some juice dribbled out. Your eyes sparkled as you turned to look at your lover. Raising the fruit up you chewed before swallowing and saying, "Love! You gotta try this! It's sooo good!"

Sun laughed at the awed expression you had before plucking the fruit out of your hand. Bringing it to his mouth, he took a bite before chewing. You waited for his reaction not paying any mind to the sticky juice running down your chin. Sun finished eating the peach before turning to you and stopping at seeing your messy face. His eyes lit with mirth before he teased, "You're right, it was good, but I don't think it's as sweet," You blinked as he leaned down, one hand wiping your chin before tilting your face up as he continued, "As you~" Sun placed his lips on yours before smiling at the sweet taste of peach on your lips. Pulling away with a smirk, Sun looked down at your flustered face before finishing, "Yep. Definitely not as sweet. ~"

His words brought heat to your face before you huffed out grumbles while swatting at him. He only laughed at your flustered actions before gingerly taking your hand and pulling you with him. Your cheeks puffed out while your tail whipped behind you. Sun chuckled before glancing back and saying, "Why so embarrassed my love? It's only the truth~" You flailed before moving forward; now leading him you stuttered, "Must you always flirt with me?!" You heard your lover snicker before teasing, "Of course! How else am I supposed to keep you on your toes?" You shook your head with a chuckle, mumbling, "That you do."

Sun grinned at your words before squeezing your hand in his and moving to walk beside you. The two of you continued forward, moving through some thick bushes and other tree groves. Just as you two came upon a grouping of trees, you heard the sound of rushing feet before the two of you blinked as the female from before popped up out of the bushes. You stared at her before she excitedly urged, "My King! My Queen! Please hurry! The others have been informed and are eagerly waiting your arrival!" You smiled at her enthusiasm before both you and Sun passed through the brush.
