Chapter 8 Frustrations Rise & A Hurtful Betrayal

Looking down your eyes widen at the sight of-Mountain Trolls?! How did they get here? Even though you were silent, your appearance caused multiple eyes to shift to you.

Eyes wide, you stared at the number of trolls. Looking down you saw Sun, his eyes turned to you before he yelled, "Take cover!"

A troll launched itself towards you, but Sun intercepted them. You quickly ran back to the room and entered; your back to the door you looked to see Lieur staring in worry. You walk over to them and quickly put the baby in her basket. She rubs her eyes at the movement.

Downstairs you can hear the sounds of Sun's fight. As you move to put the basket on a voice enters, "Young Master, where are you going?" Your head snaps to the door, your eyes narrow into a glare at the woman from before. I knew there was something wrong with her! Quickly moving the basket and baby to Lieur, you put yourself between the children and the lady.

Your glare hardens as you watch her stalk forward. She suddenly lunges forward, causing you to quickly dodge before grabbing the back of her outfit and yanking her to you. Once she's close enough you swing a punch and send her flying to the wall. Quickly ushering Lieur to get under the table, you turn your attention back to the lady as she gets up.

She screams before she swipes her claws at you, you're not able to dodge in time. Wincing at the stinging cuts you raise your leg and knee her stomach, giving her a good kick, she flys back into the wall. You run and grab the kids, moving them in front of you as you all make your way out the door. Hearing a noise behind you, you pull Lieur to you as you move back.

Piggy comes running by and knocks the lady, you didn't notice had recovered, back and through the wall. Shocked at the event you turn your head to see Sun, he fights off some trolls before looking at your group. His eyes lock onto yours before he yells, "Get out of here!" You wince as he gets tackled down, your mind fights with you; one half wanting to listen while the other half wished to stay and help Sun.

You hear his words as he's held down by the troll pile, "Don't....wait on me..!" Before you're given a chance to help him, Piggy runs behind you as trolls get up to your level. His running pushes you all out the hole made by the lady. Your bodies fall before bouncing from a roof. Piggy now underneath you as you fall makes you grab Lieur and hold him tightly to your body. You clutch him and the baby close to you as you all fall down.

Piggy lands on his back while you land on his stomach. Not wanting Sun's fight to be wasted, you jump up with Lieur and the baby; you start running away from the inn when suddenly a noise cause you to glance back. Your eyes widen at seeing the inn beginning to evaporate, Piggy says, "Where is that monkey?" You frantically scan the area before calling out, "Sun?!"

Through the fog you can make out a figure. You squint your eyes before releasing a sigh of relief as Lieur exclaimed, "Great Sage! Over here!" Once Sun makes it to you, he sees the cuts the woman made. He brings a hand to them, eyes furious, you start to reassure him before a whooshing noise interrupts you. You all look up to see the smoke disappeared, revealing a figure standing on a pole.

Sun lets out a gasp, before turning around, ushering you in front of him as he yells, "Looks like we're going sailing!" He picks you up and jumps to the boat in front of you all. Setting you down, he moves to the sails and unfurls them. Turning back to a running Piggy, he exclaims, "All aboard, let's go!" You let Lieur down before your eyes notice the earth cracking as a red troll comes out. Great more trolls!
