Mew stepped towards the stairs slowly, thinking he fucked up, again. He didn't want to, but unintentionally he did. He sighed as he walked towards Gulf's room. He felt like shit, how come someone like him, the guy who everyone was scared of and really really calculative and logically correct become a shy, timid, imbecile git.
Everything he did was to keep Gulf safe, and what if all he has done was not enough. What if he was missing out on the whole point. What if he was doing everything wrong all this time? He knocked timidly on Gulf's door, which was in fact not answered, as he thought.
Mew nevertheless walked in and looked at the bulgy body underneath the white quilt, the warmth was surprising good.
Gulf's body raised up and down steadily as he slept. Mew eyed him sorrowfully. Mew sat on the edge of the bed, the depression of the mattress, cricked slowly.
"Gulf? " Mew whispered. Gulf didn't move. Mew bit his lip and extended his hand to touch his arm.
Gulf was laying to the side facing his back to him. Mew almost touched when he realized what he was doing, he brought his hand back to fiddle with his other. He rose from the bed, maybe he should just leave.
The sound of thunder stopped him and he glanced at the balcony doors, The long peach curtains blew high with the wind, Mew stepped towards it and raised his hand out, the droplets drizzled on his soft palm, the cold water felt fresh and smelled divine.
The intensity of the rain increased and the droplets blew on his face with the storm, Mew closed his eyes, feeling it, feeling the troubles fade away, the worries fade away, just him and Gulf.
He saw them walk on the beach with smiles on their faces, no one following them. The sound of the waves washed on his mind and he believed it, Gulf fingers intertwined with his and he glanced at the waves, pointing at a cruise or a ship or a boat, and squinting his eyes to figure it out. Mew smiled at looking at his face, the light reflecting on his face never felt so good, he was so lovely. Gulf laughed at his own snarky joke and as always Mew laughed along.
The sound of lighting, brought him back to reality, he opened his eyes and sighed as he looked out as it rained, it was the best feeling in the world.
He reached both hands to the door nobs on either side and pulled it forward, locking them, which muffled the sounds of the thunder. His face was wet, so were his arms. He stepped back, looking at the windows for the last time, and turned towards the door.
"Mew?" Gulf's voice soft and melody rang in his ears, Mew stopped and turned to him.
"Yes?" Mew crocked out his voice.
"Come here. " Gulf said in the darkness, Gulf sat up towards the headboard with the blanket on his waist. Mew walked towards the bed slowly and sat on the edge being all shy again. Gulf brought that out of him. He was always timid and shy around him. Gulf secretly felt happy.
Gulf switched on the bedside lamp and looked at Mew. The light reached out to Mews face, shinning with water on his face.
Mew gulped fiddling with his fingers. Gulf smiled slowly, he was shy all over again, as he saw him first. Gulf shifted slowly towards Mew, Mew gulped as he looked down at his fingers. Finally, he did raise his eyes to Gulf and he shuddered, Gulf eyes rose, "You okay ?"
Mew nodded, suppressing his smile.
"You do something to me that I don't have any control over, that's all. Those eyes, are something else." Mew said with a shaky voice and gave a nervous chuckle.
Gulf gave a warm smile as he slid his hand in Mew's and wound his fingers with his. Mew gave a shaky breath, "I am sorry about it. I believe you. And I am going to find him Gulf, I really am. "
