"Do you think he would be dead? Do you think he is finally dead ?" Gulf asked as he followed Mew into his bedroom. Mew sighed heavily as he changed his clothes in front of him, Gulf opened his closet and brought a suit to him.
"I don't know Gulf, But the General has said the same. I need to see him. " Mew took the suit from his hand slowly, keeping eye contact as he then caressed his cheek softly, "It's gonna be fine. I'll be back. Okay?"
Gulf nodded, looking away, He then walked away from the room and walked to his bedroom. He sat on the edge of the bed with his hands on his face, He hated the fact that he was afraid, afraid that someone might use this to harm Mew. He needed to trust Mew. He sighed as he laid down on the soft mattress.
Mew stood at the door frame, fixing his suit, he sighed as he saw Gulf. He walked over and knelt in front of his face, "Don't worry, I need to see whether he is the one. And I'll come right back. I promise. "
Gulf looked into his brown eyes and fixed his hair over his forehead as he slept, He leaned in and kissed his soft lips, "I'll call you. "
Mew smiled as he nodded, "Bye."
Gulf sighed, "Bye"
Mew rushed into the hospital doors and pushed them as he entered, He saw the General right away and they walked to the mortuary.
Mew's heart was pounding as he entered the Mortuary doors, all the memories came running back in his mind. Lhong was a very important person in his life, at first he lived loving him, and now, hating him. His life revolved around Lhong, it seemed scary to live without him or maybe without any purpose for him.
He found it impossible to imagine before but now, he was getting dangerously closer to Gulf and it scared him. He had started developing feelings for Gulf even though Lhong had always been the one to make him feel fully alive.
Lhong was an extreme person, everything was extreme for him. Love, Hate, Anger. Everything. And Mew felt like it hit him like a tornado at first, Lhong for him was like drugs, he wasn't good for him but he still couldn't live without him, and now....Gulf had become the antidote.
The doctor opened the door and there it was. A body with a white sheet on, Mew gulped as he stepped closer, all the images of them crept into his mind. Their first stare as he walked past him, his boldness, the first passionate kiss they had, the fire between them, the numerous times they fucked, their heart-breaking fights and make-up sex, then came the hurt, the tears, the betrayal.
And suddenly, all the love was gone, he removed the sheet from his face and sighed.
"That's not Lhong." Mew rubbed his eyes. He didn't know whether he was relieved or angry. It confused him.
"Are you sure? The body is yet decomposing, you could be mistaken." General spoke as he stood nearer.
"I know him, General. From the back of my hand. This man is not Lhong. "
"But we found all the credentials on him.." General said with agitation.
"He could have put it all on this man. Get the DNA tested from our records. You'll know."
Mew left the hospital and drove back home. His thoughts were overflowing and he didn't have an outlet to vent it out. He kept on thinking what if he was Lhong, what would he have done? Would he cry? Would he cry for the man that destroyed him completely ? Mew raced his car to meet Gulf, He didn't know why but he wanted to feel him around himself. This insecurity was killing him. He stepped on the accelerator harder as he drove.
Gulf was staring at the ceiling as he thought about the man who wanted to kill him and Sam that day. What did he actually do to Mew, why did he want to kill him that night? He wondered if he didn't find him that night and saved him, would he be here now ? Would he be in this situation ? in love? Did Lhong hurt Mew for money? he knew that he worked for Mew, that's what Stu said. Maybe he took Mew's money and ran away and wanted more?
