Chapter 49 - Understanding.

Mew smiled as he walked into the dining room, He saw Gulf and Sam talking enthusiastically with smiles. It soared his heart with joy.

And then Lhong's words emerged in his mind, "You promised me." and his face grew pale and expressionless. Till when would he carry the burden on his shoulders for his family's safety?

His mind lingered. 

"You okay ?" Gulf asked bringing him back to reality with a soft face.

He smiled, nodding. Gulf wasn't fully convinced but smiled never the less. 

Mew sat next to Sam and caressed his hair, "You hungry ?"

"Not really. Can I come with you guys?"

"Um..." Mew looked at Gulf for an answer. 

"Sam. Why don't you finish your homework and we can go and come back in a jiffy?" Gulf back hugged him. 

"Okay.." He gave a small voice and sulked. 

Mew smiled, "I'll bring your favorite cake while coming back. Okay?"

He smiled wide, "Okay!"

After Gulf was dressed and they were ready to walk out when He stopped Mew at the door and looked him in the eye, "Something is wrong.."

Mew looked into his eyes, "would you believe me if I said it's nothing?"

"No." He crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes. 

Mew chuckled. He hugged Gulf, embracing him softly. Gulf was so warm and soft, like a baby. He even smelled like one. How can a grown man smell like a vanilla extract?

Gulf signed and uncrossed his arms and hugged him back gently, "What's going on? " He muttered worriedly. 

"Tell me babe" He whispered, "We are in this together remember?"

Mew pulled back and looked at him, "Can I try and solve this on my own? " 

Gulf opened his mouth to object right away, but Mew continued speaking while holding his shoulders, "And If- And If I can't and if I know there is some danger, I will share it with you. I just don't want to stress you out okay? Trust me. "

Gulf sighed and looked at him for a while, "Fine. But you will be honest with me. "

"Done."

"Okay." Gulf smiled and caressed his cheek. He came closer and kissed his thin lips wholly. 

"Come on. " Mew smiled and held Gulf's hand while they walked out of the door.

The reception was silent, The guests were gone. It had been a few hours. But the family was present. The hall was empty and decorations were pulled out, The lobby was empty as well. Gulf breathed hard, his heart cared and his mind was nervous. Mew held his hand tight and whispered, "It's okay. "

Gulf nodded while taking deep breaths, They walked to the hotel room and knocked. 

Adrian opened the door and froze. Gulf made a sad face but soon was shocked, Gulf wasn't alone, Mew was too and words left his mouth, "Fuck!"

Mew laughed internally and Gulf glared at him, he raised his hand in defense, "Sorry.."

"Gulf- I - I didn't know you would come -" Adrian muttered.

"Here?" Gulf said angrily while looking at him and the person behind him.

"Um...Yea?" He made an idiot's face and stepped aside like a child, he scratched his head.
