It was late afternoon and Gulf hadn't come down for lunch. Pam had gone to his work room to serve him breakfast and Gulf had it while working. He was obsessed by the work, maybe because he saw it after few days and had to catch up on it.
Mew worked in his study but came along in the dinning to have his meals. Little did he know, that the moments he cherished the most was when he ate with Gulf. Because that was the only time they saw and talked a little to each other without any excuse.
But now it was already half passed two and Mew was staring at his food plate, hungry but not hungry at the same time. He was wondering what was Gulf doing in that room and why wasn't he coming down at all ? Mew hadn't seen Gulf for the whole first half of the day and it started to itch him unknowingly.
Mew groaned irritated. Pam turned over to him after hearing his groans.
"Is there a problem ? Is the food not good ?" Pam asked worriedly
"No. No. That's not it. Food seems delicious. " Mew reassured her with a thin smile.
Pam looked at him for awhile and then started to resume her work. She knew something bothered the man but she wanted his words to come out from his own mouth rather she telling it. She wanted her boy to figure things out himself.
"Um.. Did Gulf have his lunch ?" He looked at her.
"No. He did say to bring his lunch up the room, though. I will be doing that now." Pam said as she smiled at him and picked up the food tray.
There was sudden jolt of realization to stop Pam from Mew. The chair scraped behind leaving a loud noise. Pam looked back at Mew at the sound, being surprised. Mew gathered himself from the sudden move his body and heart was making him do, he was having very less control.
"Let me bring that to him. Why don't you eat your lunch ?" Mew walked towards her and took the food tray from her before she could change her mind, Pam's jaw dropped.
"Are you sure ? What about your lunch ?" Pam acted innocent and pretended to know nothing about Mew's unrealized feelings.
"Yes, I am. I will have it later. " Mew said back and started to walk ahead nervously, like a newly bride waiting to see her husband. It was outrageous but Mew wanted to see Gulf. Badly. It was only half the day and yet it was the only thing bothering him. Pam giggled from behind as she saw Mew walking slowly towards Gulf's work room.
Gulf heard a knock, he didn't turn back nor give a full attention to whom have entered. He knew it would be Pam, so he muttered, "Come in.." He said as he brushed the sand of the sculpture. Mew opened the door and walked in slowly, he stood still with the tray in hand.
Gulf was laying down on the floor on his stomach, with his legs crossed behind and heading down on the sculpture with a brush in his hand, brushing off something from the sculpture. He looked so focused and it really looked everything in the background faded away. Mew stood there without moving a muscle.
Gulf felt eyes on him, He looked towards his right and got surprised.
"Mew.." Gulf looked at him and widened his eyes.
"Umm. I thought about bringing some lunch for you. " Mew stuttered looking at him.
Gulf still surprised, sat up, kept his tools away and crossed his legs. Mew walked towards him and sat opposite to him on the floor, He kept the food tray in between and pushed it towards Gulf.
Gulf looked at Mew. There is something about him.
Mew hunched his chin and eyes towards the tray.
