Part 31 - Dream?

"What do you mean by "You" ?" Gulf looked at him hard.

Mew sat up and folded his hands, "I made him a deal."

"Okay? What deal ?" Gulf copied Mew's position.

"I made him a deal that I would surrender all my contracts and the contacts of the deals I have made. And stop arms dealing. " Mew looked away.

"What? And what about those people whom you have contracted with? They are probably death eaters. " Gulf frowned.

Mew looked at him with ocean-dead eyes.

"No. No! I won't let you! They'll kill you, Mew!" Gulf rose on his knees and cupped Mew's face.

"Calm down." Mew rested his hands on Gulf's, He made him sit on his thigh and snaked his arm around his waist.

"They will be long gone, some jail time before they know it's me. We don't call him General for just the sake of it, you know. He is quite the best in what he does. "

"And what about you? Will he arrest you as well ?" Gulf rested his hand on Mew.

"Well, I hope he doesn't. He said he won't, that's the end of the deal. But he is the General, and you can't be certain of it. " Mew intertwined his fingers with Gulf.

Gulf sighed and rested his forehead on his, "All this for Lhong....... He must be important."

"No," Mew answered, he grabbed Gulf's neck and pressed it against his.

"Protecting you is...." Mew said firmly with naked eyes, Gulf's eyes pooled with tears, and closed his eyes, still in the arms of his beautiful lover.

Stu was in office, going through some papers, searching for something hastily. Kia entered absentmindedly, it was early.

"Oh, Stu? What are you doing here? What are you searching for? I can help you. " Kia smiled and placed her bag, casually.

Stu straightened up nervously and turned towards her, she wasn't supposed to come until 9 am. She is early.

"Oh, Hey Kia. I was just....ah. Just. Nevermind me. It's early for you." Stu said with a nervous smile.

"Oh, Yea... I had some things to sort out", She walked slowly to him with a sweet smile, "So our dinner is fixed?"

"Dinner ?" Stu asked confused.

Kia looked at him confused too, "Yea. Tomorrow, you asked me for dinner. Are you okay? You look tensed. "

"Oh, yea yea. Yea. I have an off tomorrow. Yes, affirmative. " Stu walked back towards the door, "We are going out for dinner tomorrow. I can't wait. " He opened the door and smiled, "See you tomorrow!" and walked out.

Kia stood there and then cracked a smile, "What's with him ? "

She started her work when it suddenly occurred to her and she turned towards the door, Why did he come so early today ? What was he searching for?

A few hours later, Mew was in the shower and Gulf was still asleep.

Mew had few things on his mind, He desperately wanted to find Lhong but he was failing. Damn it, Mew - If you can't find him, who can? I feel someone is helping him. But who is? Before I can catch him, someone already tips him off and he hides. I need to find him.

Gulf stirred in his sleep and placed his hand on the other side, it was empty. He opened his eyes slowly and looked, Mew wasn't there. He opened his eyes wider, he heard the shower running - He must be taking a shower. He sighed and closed his eyes resuming to sleep.
