Luz and Amity were both silent, staring at each other as if they were both at fault with everything.

"I'm a tyrant?" Amity began.

Luz gulped.

"For you?" Amity asked.

Luz covered her face with both hands, it was muffled but it was also audible when she said, "Sorry..!"

Amity grumbled continuing up the long stretch of the private road. The road itself slowly curved upwards.

But she didn't feel tired, she's done this multiple times like not skipping leg day for her. She's walked uphill without a problem.

Luz fell quiet in her arms.

"Why do you think so?" Amity opened a question.

"Huh?" Luz looked at her.

"Why do you think I'm a tyrant?" Amity rephrased her question.

"O-Oh... Well, you... You're pretty powerful in a lot of... Ways and... You just also... Abuse that power because of the law... Doesn't get you." Luz muttered before sticking her tongue out to check the wound on her lips. It was a rusty iron in taste, she doesn't really taste her blood that much when wounded, it'd be quite weird all on its own.

Amity hummed.

"Pull yourself closer to me." She said.

"Huh? Why??" Luz tilted her head.

"Do it."

Luz thought twice but ultimately, followed and pulled herself closer.

Amity felt Luz pull an arm around and behind her shoulders, she felt her pull herself close, both hands holding close to her. Her hold felt loose, they didn't feel as strong as she had seen them press keys on a piano like a genius maniac.

"Why did..? You want me this close..?" Luz mumbled.

She wasn't laying but sitting on Amity's arms here now.

Amity continued to walk, she still wasn't tired as you should expect. Looking at Luz, she examined her face.

The small scars on Luz's face, well, the ones that had been close to her nose. Healed.

'So small incantations can heal but they're slow..?' wondering over it, she blinked staring before saying, "Does your nose still hurt after falling face first?"

Luz perked up.

"Oh! N... No... It doesn't hurt anymore, if you're worried about my nose almost breaking, it's fine! I've almost broken my nose a few times before when I was a Grudgby player!" She laughed a bit to lessen the tension of worry and seriousness of everything.

Amity hummed.

"Come closer." She said.

Luz felt her smile folter to a twitch.

"Huh..?" Her voice grew meek by the peculiar task.

"Come closer or I'm dropping you to walk back to yourself."

She flinched and reluctantly followed.

She got closer, she could hear Amity's soft breathing now.

"Hold still, your lips look ugly."

'Ugly!??'

Chu

"What the--!??" Luz almost fell off if her arms hadn't tensed to stop her from pulling herself back to hitting head first to the ground.

She flushed red, but at least her lips were healed. She didn't have to worry about the wound getting infected or making her friends worry over it when they see it.

But... That was... Expected, yet she still got surprised! How uncanny she can be over a simple kiss?? Well, Amity's already taken more than one kiss from her. It felt humiliating and odd.

"At least give me a warning before suddenly kissing me like that..!" Luz whimpered.

Amity hummed.

"Or you'll what?" She asked.

Luz looked at her with a feverish red look.

"You should know that it's sexual harassment to do that!! And here I am not reporting it because I'd rather not get involved with law!!" She retorted.

Hah, law?? How terrifying is that?

"Law can never work on pure breeds like me, half breed." Amity taunted her.

Luz grew a nerve.

"So, it'd be ok if I just kissed you back?" She growled.

"I'm always open for your intriguing demands... Half breed." Amity grinned so maliciously at her.

"Urghk--grr..!?" Luz flinched looking away. Way to go, Luz! That was smooth of you to say those words to someone who's never given a damn to get flustered by anything anymore.

She doesn't even know if Amity can even go flustered at this point.

"You really are... A laughingstock, half breed." Amity chuckled, the amusement of everything clear in it as they paused.

They were almost there, so close. If she were to just drop Luz now, they can walk inside as if they'd been walking while in a conversation.

"Hey,"

Amity looked at her when she called for her attention.

"Why are you so mean?" That was a stupid question on Luz's part.

"You're blabbering nonsense again." Amity turned her around and carried her like how a person would carry a clingy child.

"What the hell..!?" Luz felt embarrassment rise to another indescribable level in her.

"Act like a child get carried like a child." Amity continued inside.

"I am not a child!! And I can walk just fine here! You can drop me to the ground like you always do! I'll just ignore the pain when I fall! Please!! Just put me down!!!"

She shoved and hit. Except both were done weakly at Amity, and how is Amity gonna agree to someone who feels too embarrassed to gain strength.

"Luz," Amity called.

Luz shoved her face at the crook of her neck.

"Are you listening?" Amity asked.

Luz nodded, yet kept her face down. Her ears were completely red just like her knuckles.

"Then... Starting today, I'll attend... Classes and school activities with you, as a friend..." Amity felt like she could murmur everything down.

Luz perked up.

"W... We're friends..?" She mumbled.

Amity sighed, they were now inside the academy grounds. It immediately grew chilly as expected, a few ghosts were roaming around, some noticing them look in their direction.

But amity didn't care and for sure, Luz didn't see any of them.

It was seven already y'now. All that talk and walk got them here. Oh, wow.

"Amity?" Luz called, her arms had unconsciously hugged closer to her.

"Yeah... We're friends..." Amity already knew what she was gonna ask before she could even say it.

"Oh..." Luz smiled, pulling herself closer to her.

"You're so clingy." Amity huffed

"You're the one who carried me like this, jerk..!" Luz grew a nerve.
