It was gonna be Luz's first day in the most prestigious music academy in Boiling City, she almost forgot why the City was even called Boiling in the first place now.

Gulping, she knocked on her new teacher's classroom door.

Knock

Knock

Knock

Silence.

Troubled, she knocked again.

Did she come a little too early? No, that can't be it, right?

"Luz??"

She flinched upon just hearing her name.

Looking over her shoulder, she smiled seeing her friends.

"Hey, Willow! Hey, Gus!" She said.

Willow waved and Gus chimed giving a quick tune with his violin.

"Welcome to your first day with, Miss. Eda's class, Luz! We hope you enjoy your stay!" Gus exclaimed.

Willow chuckled.

"If you're wondering why nobody's answered your knocking. That's because it's a little too early." She said.

Ah, so she was right that she was too early.

She checked her watch.

"Really?? But back in my classes with Miss. Blight, our classes always started early sharp." She pondered with a quizzical look.

Willow chuckled again.

"Well, that may be so... But with Miss. Eda, she's pretty laid back because she knows we're trustworthy enough to be self-taught on our own and put our mix into her music sheets!" Gus huffed, pulling the music sheets from his bag.

Luz took the offered music sheets and looked.

Her eyes widened a little.

It was... Peculiar, impressive, and... Really, it was much more impressive than those Odalia's created to be played in her former class with Boscha and Mattholomule.

Seriously, she hated those two. Just because they were cousins and all don't have them the right to be belittling her to this content y'now.

"This is impressive!" She chirped.

Willow's eyes widened as she asked, "r-really?"

Luz smiled nodding.

"Yeah! Did you make these?" She asked.

Willow immediately jolted upright from the question.

"Oh! Oh, no, no, no! I didn't! My... Uhm, me and Gus... Have a friend who wrote it! She's pretty talented to be honest and..."

Luz blinked in surprise when Willow's words went into quiet muttering as if she was talking about someone worthy of more than verbal praises. Hell, this specific person probably deserves all the trophies and medals in the world if she were to read her expressions right.

"Oh, well, this is the best of the best!" She smiled offering the music sheets back to Gus.

"Pff-yeah, right, tell that to the psycho of the school, why don't you, town girl??"

Luz shot up from the sneered tone for a voice.

She glared looking behind Willow.

Willow and Gus both gulped looking behind them.

Boscha grinned carrying their violin with her.

"Who do you think you are to call someone who's made such better music theory than you, a psycho, Boscha??" Luz scoffed.

Boscha's eyes widened a bit in surprise, but it was also quick to fall into a smug grin of absolute mockery.

"Looks like someone hasn't been doing their homework, girls, go on ahead with my violin, would you? I'm gonna be schooling someone over very early today." She offered her violin forth.

Skara shrugged taking the case before heading off with Bo and Cat.

Luz frowned standing in front of both Willow and Gus.

Well, they knew Boscha more than Luz has. So it's a little frightening for them to be faced head-on this early in the morning.

"There's a rumor saying late at night, the piano on the basement plays all on its own in the dark." Boscha began after crossing her arms.

Luz perked up and immediately snickered at her.

"You believe in ghosts??" She laughed.

Boscha smirked and said, "oh, it doesn't end there, town girl..."

Luz frowned back.

"They say that ghost is the deceased daughter of one of the teachers of the academy, a witness said they had a scar on their face, scratch like wounds on their knuckles, and a ghastly look of someone who's obviously died. When the witness saw the ghost, it grinned so wide, they thought it was gonna tear her whole face open and eat them alive if they hadn't noticed she had a knife in one hand." Boscha spoke each sentence slowly and menacingly.

It was like telling a campfire story towards kids as Luz somehow began to feel the corridor grow a little cold between them.

"And some witnesses say that if you ever see her roaming the hallways... You best be aware that she will kill you just like how she had killed her father." Boscha finished with a loud shout, scaring Gus to shriek and hide behind Willow who flinched pulling Luz a little with her.

Luz frowned.

"That doesn't scare me, Boscha... Ghost don't exist, and it's pretty childish that you believe their existence even!" She spat.

"Oh, you won't be laughing that long if I were you, town girl..." Boscha only laughed mocking her as she turned to her heels and left.

Then they heard someone clear their throat out loud behind them.

They all spun around almost instantly upon hearing it.

"Oh, Miss. Lilith!"

Luz blinked staring at Lilith, Edalyn Clawthorne's older sister, she had this somewhat dark blue hair and this calm yet strict aura around her.

Lilith had a different class and band of students from a different classroom that was located just beside her younger sister's classroom.

"Good morning, where is your teacher?" Lilith asked.

Willow hummed before saying, "I'm... I'm not sure... We don't, really know where she is early in the morning."

Gus couldn't agree more than her. It was true though.

And Luz didn't have any idea at all.

Lilith hummed before sighing as if she knew just where her sister is at the moment.

"I see... Very well, please be in your best behaviors now." She nodded them off and walked on to where she was sure her sister would be.

Luz watched her walk away.

"Is this... Normal?" She asked.

Willow and Gus nodded without retort.

"To be honest... There's... Also, a rumor that the Clawthorne's go to the basement in the morning..." Gus muttered.

"Gus..!" Willow nudged his shoulder hushing him.

Luz was now curious for answers.
