Luz sat beside her.

Finally calming, down, she scratched her wrists a little. They itched and she didn't know why, they just did.

"What do you want to do now?"

She perked up by the sudden question.

"Uhm... I... I guess I'll go back to my dorm and... Take my medicine before going to bed." She muttered.

Amity hummed looking up the ceiling.

"Sure." She stood up.

...

"Do you really live there? In that basement?"

A question was what broke the silence between them while walking.

Luz fiddled with clasped hands.

"No." That was a firm answer coming from Amity.

Luz looked up at her.

"Oh." She huffed.

"I only come there to play one song every night to wake them up." Amity said.

Luz's eyes widened a bit.

"Really? Every... Every night but why did you ask me to play in your stead?" She pondered.

"Because I hate that song." Amity scowled, yet kept her eyes forward.

Luz gulped.

"Why..? It's... It's such a nice and soothing song to wake up--urgh--!?"

The gravel underneath their shoes seem to go wary to grind at each other when Amity swung a hand and shoved Luz to the nearest lamp post.

Luz hicced holding the hand trying to shove her back.

"It's not a nice song... It's a ritual for a song to wake the dead so they can start their work around the academy. Most of those dead beings are janitors who work the whole night cleaning the place top to bottom." Amity said.

Luz looked up at her.

The moon was behind her back.

She stared.

It was beautiful. A blue moon silvered with gold, she's never seen one like that in her entire life.

"S... Sorry... I... I didn't mean it like--" she tried to apologize.

"Don't apologize," Amity leaned close to her.

'Please, stop getting all over my face!!!' Luz panicked in return to feel her face go red with a wary look.

"It's obvious that half breeds like you don't understand how this academy works or why it was established in the first place."

Luz almost fell back when Amity took her hands off of her jacket to let her breathe.

Stumbling a bit, the gravel seem to crunch deep into wet soil.
