Each of them swerved around the corner. Adam's smile never seemed to fade as he rode alongside Langa.
"There can't be real love in a long-distance relationship," he commented. But his smile seemed to fade this once as he watched Langa distance himself further. "Did someone give you ideas?"
"You evil rascal," Joe scoffed. "You used that boy."
Cherry looked straight ahead, his posture never faltering. "It was a deal that was profitable for both sides."
They watched with anxiousness as Langa skated past Adam. The wind blew in his blue hair. He was truly pretty even when he didn't try. Which was always.
"It's here!" Adam exclaimed. Langa looked back and was surprised — to say the least — by how fast Adam was coming toward him. "Here, here! Right in my heart!" He continued with a squeal at the end.
It disgusted the e/c boy at how interested Adam was with Langa.
"Now...Little Langa..." Adam smashed his red and black board underneath Langa's blue one. "...dance with me!"
Adam guided Langa along the path as he struggled to get out of his grip. Adam giggled as he tipped Langa down, his head almost hitting the pavement. He pulled him back up. "We're approaching a big corner now!" he intertwined their fingers, making Langa worry more.
And it wasn't just him that was anxious.
"Here we go!" he shouted. Adam twirled Langa into the air. The only reason why Langa wasn't falling out of his grip was that Adam wasn't finished playing yet.
"This is so fun, Snow! Please don't tell me you're scared," and as Adam looked down, expecting to see Langa's terrified face, instead he found Langa's lips twitching into a grin.
Meanwhile, y/n was busy blocking out the nervous voices of his friends. His only focus was on the large screen in front of them.
He shifted anxiously when he saw Adam race toward Langa with his 'Love Hug'. He couldn't do it. He couldn't wait. He couldn't wait for another disaster to happen.
So he ran.
He ran toward Langa.
He ran through the crowd, dismissing Reki's shouts.
Please make it past. Please make it past. Please make it past. He repeated in his head. His breath became heavier with each passing step. Please make it—
Langa flew over Adam's head. Everyone's eyes widened along with their mouths. Y/n knew it was a snowboarding move. But to do it now?
Do it here?
Was something beyond amazing.
He watched as Adam stood in shock. But the feeling didn't last long. The older male started clicking his shoes in delight. "I've found you! I've found...my Eve!"
He raced by the crowd, pulling some people down by the feet to gain more momentum. Out of those few people, y/n grabbed one of their boards and continued after the two skaters.
He made sure to distance himself from them. He didn't want to get caught skating.
Not now. Not ever.
Jeez, the things I do for you guys...
Though, the atmosphere quickly turned tense. The sirens were unmistakable, especially to y/n's ears.
A black car rode next to Adam. The man inside called for him to get in and he did so. The boy pulled up next to Langa just before the car skid away.
"You! Kids! What are you doing here?!" the policemen demanded. He could see the fear in his blue eyes as the cops approached.
"Langa! Y/n!" Reki yelled. He knew he could only bring one person, but he refused to admit it.
"Answer me!" the cops started coming closer. Y/n picked up the spare helmet and dropped it onto Langa's head.
"Go! Now!"
Reki flashed him a sympathetic and grateful smile before riding off into the distance.
Meanwhile, the boy dropped the stolen board and lifted his hands. He scanned over the faces of cops that he had seen so many times before.
But one of them stood out.
And not in a good way.
"Hello, father."
