VIBING WITH A MENTAL ILLNESS

Suddenly you were on a plane back to your hometown instead of Langa's. He was just as excited as Reki to visit where you were from. Though, they were dreading speaking to French people.

Based on what you said, Quebecois were very angry drivers and they would see A louer signs everywhere. Quebec wasn't the richest place so those A louer signs meant "for rent".

"We're here!" Reki beamed. He shot out of his seat and pulled Langa along with him to your seat. You had your eyes covered like the flight to BC and Langa was skeptical to wake you. You didn't seem nearly as excited as they were to be going to Quebec so he was anxious about the entire situation.

"Y/n! Wake up!" Reki giddily shook your shoulder. A small grumble from you made them both back up quite a few steps.

"Mhm..." You groaned, turning in your seat.

"We have to get off of the plane, y/n," Langa whispered and you just grumbled once more but with a sigh. "We can get timmies."

"And I'm up."

It was like a human chain. Reki dragged Langa (even though he had no idea where he was going) and Langa held onto your palm as you groggily followed suit. Langa continued to direct Reki to the nearest Tims in hopes to get you some caffeine.

"Voila!" Reki exclaimed as they approached the coffee shop. He received multiple stares, including yours, but paid little attention to them.

"Just because you're in a French place doesn't mean you need to speak French." You mumbled and pulled Langa into the shop with you. Fortunately, you were awake enough to remember your first language. Unfortunatly, the two others had not one idea on how to speak it.

The cashier polity asked for your order and you ordered the same thing you had a few days before. "Three French Vanillas and three Honey Crullers, please." You said in slightly unstable French with the added please at the end. They nodded and went to grab the food.

You immediately dove for the coffee and Langa sorted out the other drinks and food between himself and Reki. The walk to the bus was quiet, mostly because neither of them wanted to do anything to set you off.

"Fair warning," You started, gaining their attention. You walked onto the bus and placed yourself in a random unoccupied seat at the back. They sat down as well, sandwiching you between them. "My mother is not the best person. So... try your best to piss her off."

"Don't you mean try our best not to piss her off?" Reki asked and you smirked.

"Nope."

"Ohmygod this is gonna be a long day."

"You wanted to come here!"

"Well know I regret it!"

"Boo-hoo."

You guided them through the familiar streets and back-alleys. Japan was fairly advanced in society, as was BC. Quebec was not. Not in the least.

Potholes were everywhere. Smokers lined the streets. It was sketchy, to say the least.

If there could be a family disappointment of provinces in Canada, it would be Quebec.

"Uh...this is... a place..." Langa mumbled. You stifled a laugh as you jaywalked across the busy street. The boys hesitantly followed, thinking they would be arrested.

"I told you it wasn't as nice as Japan or BC." You said and they nodded while looking around. "To give you an idea," You paused, skimming over the house numbers to find the right one. "I had my first cigarette in the 6th grade."

(ik someone is gonna be like "oh that's so unrealistic" lmfao hate to break it to ya, but I lived in Quebec for years by the 6th or 7th grade everyone I knew had vaped, smoked, drank smthn, or some type of drug)

"Jeez!" Reki gaped and you laughed. "Y'know these streets kinda remind me of where some people beat me up." He laughed nervously meanwhile you and Langa froze in your places.

"...What?"

"Ha...haha... nothing, nothing!" He dismissed quickly and sped up. You followed after him but he had already found your mother's house. "This it? Yeah ok!" He knocked on the door with the same nervous expression.

"Coming!" Was heard on the other side. You recognized it immediately though it sounded more worn out. "Hello—"

"Hey, mom."
