VIBING WITH A MENTAL ILLNESS;

"Ooh." Reki poked his head out of the restroom and made his way back to the table. "What'cha talking about? I heard beaver. ARE WE GOING TO SEE BEAVERS?!"

Y/n pursed his lips, trying to refrain from laughing and potentially getting them kicked out of a Tim Hortons.

"No, Reki. Beavertails. They're—"

"IS THAT SOME WEIRD CANADIAN RITUAL?!" Reki shouted, bolting up from his seat. Everything went silent and all you could hear was the scratching of his chair. "'Cuz if it is, I'm ready! Like, totally! I swear-"

"Reki." The e/c boy started and Reki stopped talking almost immediately. He pointed to the manager in red and black clothes standing behind him.

Long story short? Three boys were kicked out of the kindest place in all of Canada.

Langa and Reki burst through the door side-by-side and simultaneously shouted. "We're done unpacking!"

"How old are you guys again?" Y/n asked shutting the drawer with a small slam.

"Uh, 17, I think."

"Yeah, 17. Why can't you just go get the beavertails yourself? Take a bus or something." He sighed and leaned back onto the couch.

"We need you to speak English!" Langa argued and you deadpanned.

"You speak English just as well as I do. Maybe even better since it's not my first language." He explained and shut his eyes. He knew he wasn't going to get peace and quiet any time soon but there was no harm in trying.

"Wait, what is your first language, then?"

"French." He said and their eyes widened. "I lived in Quebec, not BC."

"Oooh." They gaped.

"Then maybe we'll need you to speak french!"

"And we need someone to drive!"

"And—"

Your long and heavy sigh cut them off. You suddenly threw the keys to langa in hopes that he would be more responsible. "Go start the car and I'll be down in a minute."

"Sure!"

"Don't fall asleep!" Reki added and closed the door.

"Not like I can anyway..."

You slowly made yourself off of the uncomfortable couch and wrapped your jacket around yourself. As you opened the door to the outside a sudden burst of wind made a chill go down your spine.

"Uh, y/n?" Reki called and you nodded for him to keep going.

"There's snow." Langa beamed.
