VIBING WITH A MENTAL ILLNESS;
Y/n did just that. He raced home — Reki's home —after not even being at 'S' for more than 10 minutes.
"Ms. Kyan!" he yelled, throwing the door open. It was beyond impolite, especially in Japan, but he didn't care at this point in time.
"What —?!" she asked startled, "What is it?!"
"It's Reki. He's in the hospital." he breathed out, his hands on his knees after running so much.
"Oh, my - which one?!" she asked, grabbing her things and rushing to the front door.
He froze. He had no idea. "The nearest one?"
"That boy is going to kill me." She sighed, rushing out the door. "Will you take care of the girls for me? Thank you, bye!"
He looked up at Reki's siblings who were all in their pijamas. "I guess so..."
"What happened to Reki?" The eldest one asked and he froze once more, wondering if he should tell the truth.
"He, uh, got into a bit of an accident. But he'll be fine." he quickly clarified, and the young ones seemed to ease a bit, but the teenager was a bit harder to fool. "C'mon, let's get you girls to bed."
He grabbed their small hands and led them to the room that he had been in way too many times. The eldest (god, i really need to learn her name) grabbed his shoulder and tugged him back.
"What really happened?" she asked, her brows knit.
"He was in a skating accident, but I don't know what happened to him after that. All I know is that he went to the hospital."
"So you don't know if he's ok?"
He laughed, trying to cover up the fact that she was right. "Have you met him? He's got a hard head, he'll be fine."
"He better, or it's your head I'm gonna chop off."
"Who-oa, violent much," he said and she giggled, getting into bed. "Goodnight."
"Night."
He closed the door slightly, not wanting to leave the infants in the dark. He sighed as he sat on the couch, checking his phone. No new messages.
His leg bounced up and down rapidly, a nervous tick he had developed when his sister was in an accident. He prayed that it wasn't as bad as his sister. Nowhere near as bad.
"Y/n, we're home." Reki's mother greeted, taking off her shoes.
He bolted up, running to the door to see the still concerned mother and her son. He threw his head back in relief, letting out a small laugh as he saw that Reki had only broken his arm.
"Y/n?" Reki asked, lifting his head up at the familiar laugh. "Why are you —"
"You're ok, right?" he asked suddenly, making Reki's eyes widen.
"Y-Yea, I'm fine. Why? Were you worried?" he teased, trying to get over the fact he just stuttered.
"Of course I fuc- fudging was." y/n corrected, still aware of the fact that the girls may be awake. "You broke your arm and you were barely conscious when I got there."
"Wait what?" his mother asked, glancing between the two of you. "You didn't tell me that, Reki-"
"That's not important!" he squeaked. "I'm all good now." he pulled his friend in for a half-hug, seeing as his left arm was bandaged.
"You're sister almost killed me for letting you get hurt." he sighed, sending chills up Reki's spine. His mother snuck past them, letting them have their little moment.
"Yeah, she has a tendency to threaten people," he said, trying to pull apart from the hug but y/n stayed put.
"Don't get hurt again, okay?" he said, now pulling away. Reki stared at him, analyzing his eyes.
"Did you cry?"
"You wish I did."
"You totally cried. You lo-o-ove me."
"Over my dead body."
"Seems oddly defensive for someone who said they don't love me."
"I'm not being defensive I'm just telling the truth."
"Nope! You're lying!"
"Shut up, I'm going home. Tell Ms. —"
"Stay over tonight. I missed having you here." Reki said suddenly, grabbing y/n arm with his spare one.
"Yeah alright. I'm not sleeping on the floor though."
"Nah you can sleep in my bed since you looooove me!"
"Will you shut it already?"
"So defensive."
