Zhongli teleported to one of his statues, walking behind it. A gust of wind blew against his hair and clothes as he walked near the ledge of a cliff, He sighed to himself and placed his palm on his chin, using his other arm to support his elbow. Thoughts clouded his heads, making Zhongli unable to hear a treasure hoarder that is inching closer to him. It basically "blinded" him and stopped most of his senses from the real world. As soon as he turned behind, the treasure hoarder pushed him off the ledge since Zhongli wasn't capable of reacting in time. Though the cliff was not too high, it was enough to break a bone or two, probably none if you caught on to a sturdy and thick root or something to pause the fall mid-way.
Zhongli braced for impact but was lucky enough to land on a wide tree branch and managed to have a few bruises on his arms and legs. His head felt dizzy due to how harsh he slammed into the sturdy wood, nonetheless, he didn't let that get in the way. Zhongli stared back up and the treasure hoarder seemed to have disappeared quickly.
Zhongli grunted while trying to sit up, he then carefully hopped down the particularly tall and broad tree which appeared completely different from the rest he saw when on the cliff. His surroundings were eerie though he didn't seem to care in the slightest. "I should find somewhere safe before night arrives, this place seems a bit dangerous by just the looks of it." He murmured to himself while staring at the orange and yellow sky. Even though he could stay near Liyue, he wanted to get away from thinking about Childe and calm down until further on.

For a while, Zhongli couldn't find anywhere to safely rest upon until he came across a cave. He walked inside and didn't see nor hear anything bad or out of the blue and decided to make himself comfortable in his temporary hideout.
Zhongli felt slightly guilty for what he has done while looking back at it. He wanted to apologize to Childe but it was probably too late to change things back, yet again, that is just what he thinks. They were both clouded with puzzlement and irritation but they can still manage to make it up somehow... though not today at least.
Soon enough, Zhongli heard a rustle amongst the bushes outside the cave. Following by the noises, a bunch of footsteps could be heard close by. Zhongli looked back and saw a group of Hilichurls charging towards is direction.
Arrows and rocks began to fly around the cave while Zhongli did his best to dodge them though some rocks managed to hit him. A few arrows slightly grazed his shoulders, leaving small scars on him that soon bled and soaked into his sleeves. He doesn't have enough energy to bring out his shield which was a bad sign for him, and with all the moving Zhongli is doing, that doesn't help out either.
A Mitachurl soon walked inside the cave which made Zhongli anxious. He pulled out his spear and charged back at the group of monsters, soon to leave every Hilichurl down except the larger one. During that, he nearly let his guard down several times, tripped, and almost fell due to the exhaustion that was building up.
The Mitachurl was a bit difficult to defeat. Zhongli was tossed around a few times, crashing onto the stone walls and rough floor, and as if everything wasn't bad enough, he slightly fractured his right leg. A small yelp came out of his mouth while he slowly got up by using his spear as support.
Zhongli continued to dodge furthermore, a tad bit sloppy but that didn't seem to affect his fighting. He had a feeling that there was a bit of energy in him again and took the opportunity to use his elemental burst.
He painfully ran behind the Mitachurl since they can't really turn around fast enough, it bought Zhongli some time which relieved him. Zhongli crossed his hands and the cave quickly turned hot. A dark hole surrounded with golden clouds and aura appeared out of thin air. A meteor then emerged out of the hole, rushing closer towards the Mitachurl.
Zhongli's skin was heating up badly, and as soon as the meteor crashed into the Mitachurl, which killed it instantly, debris flew everywhere and dust was spread all over the place. Zhongli used both of his arms to block anything that might go into his face.
The meteor slowly disappeared, the dust began blowing away from the wind, and the Mitachurl was nowhere to be seen. Zhongli sighed and soon collapsed on the floor. Staring at the ceiling, he was sweating and panting heavily since that attack basically took him out both physically and mentally.
The sky begins to grow darker and darker within every second. Zhongli was still on the floor, zoning out. He felt comfortable in his current position, ignoring the pain in his leg. Tomorrow he will probably be able to bandage it up. Today wasn't his favorite day, though it's not too bad unlike other times. Those other times were horrible.
All he needs is just a small break.
