[HIATUS] Some Childe x Zhongli stuff, I don't have any other ideas for a title.

Feelings About Others

It has been a couple of weeks ever since Zhongli has disappeared, Collei went back to Sumeru on her own, and Childe continued to do whatever he does in his spare time.

Childe's head was filled with thoughts, wondering where Zhongli could be. Collei told him about Zhongli's broken leg and how long it would take to recover, he wanted to find out if Zhongli was alright since today was when his leg would be healed.

Though, Childe was called in to meet up with a person named 'Valicity' and all he knew was that it could be a friendly meet up of some sort, nothing will go wrong.. right?

Valicity tapped her fingers against the table that she is on while waiting for Childe. Her brown hair brushed against her face as the wind blows, she is not very well-known in Liyue despite being in the city for a couple of years.

The woman has tan skin, a beauty mark in the corner of her lower left eyelid, semi fluffy hair that reached her mid back, oval glasses, etc. I'll explain more about the clothing later or someday, imagine whatever you want!

"Hey! Sorry for being late, I had things in mind that I lost track on what I was doing." Childe said while jogging towards Valicity. "Oh, it's fine. I ordered a drink for the both of us if you don't mind." She smiled gently at Childe as he took his seat.

Valicity was fond of Childe ever since she first learned about him on a book which mainly describes the Fatui Harbingers members, she was nervous yet excited to be right next to the person she wanted to meet for a long time.

"So, is there something you want to discuss?" Childe blurted out as a waiter brought in their drinks, "Ah yes, I wondered if we could go on a stroll together. I have a lovely place that I marked down!" Valicity said as she began to sip her tea.

Childe and Valicity talked about many things here and there, mostly about their siblings and how they sometimes mess around with them.

They finished their drinks and got up from their seats. "I'll pay for you—" Childe paused his movements as Valicity quickly said, "Don't worry I can do it, Childe. I insist!"

Childe was hesitant but allowed her to pay for their things. Usually, Childe was never stopped by someone once he says that he'll pay for food or items, this was the first time it happened.

The Harbinger became flustered as he tried to cover it up by turning his head to the left, he doesn't really take these things very easily. "Being embarrassed is an everyday thing, you don't have to hide it away." Valicity said while cupping her left hand onto Childe's cheek, making his head face back to her.

Childe and Valicity laugh it off as they walk down the stairs of the restaurant. They picked up some snacks along the way in case the both of them get hungry when walking.

Valicity ended up taking Childe to a park with a bunch of Qingxin flowers surrounding a tree. They decided to sit on a bench that was under the tree's shade to rest and admire the things near them.

Childe didn't seem to notice that Valicity's hand was on top of his hand, she did that intentionally. The shorter one also had some intentions to kiss Childe's cheek but she thought it was too early for that, they did recently meet up after all.. and that would be rude of her to do without notice.

She kept all her love back to not make Childe uncomfortable and continued to look at the scenery in front of her. "Say.. would you want to meet up again sometime?" Childe blurted, making Valicity startled. "Oh s-sure! I'll send letters to you so we can... uhm... keep in contact with each other!" Valicity tried her best to not blush while talking, she had gotten the wrong idea though.

The Harbinger already spotted the hints that the other caught feelings for him, though he didn't seem to catch feelings back at her. Childe stared into Valicity's eyes and smiled warmly, he didn't want to hurt her feelings and probably faking a relationship should turn out better than nothing. Hopefully.

Childe finally noticed that Valicity had her hand on top of his which wasn't a big deal to him. They sat in silence, also snacking on the things they've brought.

After a few hours, Valicity had to go home and do some paperwork that she hadn't finished from yesterday. Childe said his goodbyes to Valicity as she walked down the hill, soon to disappear off the distance.

Childe sighed as he placed his palm onto his forehead, the cold wind against his body made him calm. How will this work out for the both of them?

Since Valicity has a crush on him, It would be hard to explain that he doesn't like her. Childe is 'too nice' to reject anything.

He still liked the relationship between himself and Zhongli— as friends of course. But with more things in the way, it's hard to take care of one another.

Childe missed being around his closest partner.
