Zhongli slowly opened his eyes and sat up carefully. He grabbed the spear that was right next to him and used it to stand up. Eventually, he managed to make it outside the cave and began searching for a sturdy stick. Snapping and bending many sticks Zhongli came across, he searched for a while and eventually found a perfect one to use.

He sat near a tree and ripped a long piece of his coat, pulled up his right pant leg and began wrapping his broken leg with the things he had. The process was fast and steady, knowing that Zhongli can't stay there for eternity from what happened not too long ago. Who knows if danger is still lurking around?

Zhongli woke up pretty early, everything still felt cold and slightly dark. He planned to get some herbs to heal up his scars later on but it would be a struggle to move around.

Childe searched everywhere in Liyue for Zhongli. He started to become worried for him, completely forgetting about the situation yesterday. He talked to nearly every citizen but there were no signs of hope. He started to panic, quietly trying to catch his breath and recollect his thoughts. "Zhongli wouldn't disappear that far, right?" Childe says, "Does he really hate me now?" a lump started to form in his throat but decided to bottle up his emotions.

The ginger ran out of the city grounds and to the mountains to catch a higher view of the town in desperation to find his friend.

The sun lights up the side of Childe's body as he starts to climb up slowly on Mt. Tianheng to see the view, it was pretty cold and windy as he makes it to the top. It even got to the point where Childe nearly got blown off multiple times.

After finally feeling dirt and a flat surface, Childe lifted himself up which made him sigh in relief. It basically took a toll on his arms, making them dirty and aching. Not to mention that his clothes became all messed up as well. But to continue, Childe kept looking around to find a spot that Zhongli possibly might be lingering.

For a couple of minutes, every inch of the mountain top was looked upon and not once did the ginger found anything special. Childe gave up on his search and glided down the mountain. As his feet grazed the grassy floor, he groaned and felt hopeless. Childe teared up, he didn't want to feel alone again. All he wanted to do was apologize and explain the situation clearer to Zhongli. Maybe it wasn't told very well and that words were taken the wrong way.

Childe roughly sat on the grass as he sobbed, wishing that someone came by and comforted him, but that didn't happen. He didn't want to lose his only friend that he deeply cared about.

Usually, Childe never cries this much... well, the last time tears like this ever happened was when he was little. Y'know, back when he fell into the abyss. Anyways, ever since yesterday, everything turned upside down for the both of them. Yet again, he shouldn't worry too much about Zhongli. That man lived for so long, surely he can't get that hurt when he is alone. Right...?

Childe wiped his tears away and soon continued to search outside of Liyue, desperate to find someone that knows where Zhongli went. He didn't give up that easily. He never gives up on things like these.
