[HIATUS] Some Childe x Zhongli stuff, I don't have any other ideas for a title.

Grief?

"Please don't leave me.."

Zhongli weakly laughs as Childe held his fading body, who knew this day would happen?

"It'll be ok."

Zhongli held Childe's hand, slowly placing it on his cheek. The warmth felt... comforting. Comforting for one's last moments.

"Please smile for me before I go."

Childe managed a smile, some pain withered away but still remained. It made Zhongli happy for him.

"Listen, Ajax. I love you.. I'll never forget you till the very end, even in the afterlife."

Childe hugged Zhongli tightly, not wanting to let go.

"I love you too."

And as soon as he whispered that, Zhongli vanished into thin air. Leaving nothing but his 'vision' on Childe's lap which soon turned foggy and grey.

Everything fell silent.
Everything felt empty.
Everything happened too quickly.
Everything could've been prevented earlier.

Childe held the vision, holding it against his chest.

Zhongli will still be with him... in his heart and mind of course. He'll have to find another way to find happiness, someday.

"I'll never leave you."
"I'll never forget you."
