[HIATUS] Some Childe x Zhongli stuff, I don't have any other ideas for a title.

Investigating

The sun rose even more and so it's time for Hu Tao and Zhongli to start their stroll around the tree. They started walking on the left side of the area.

"Hey Zhongli?"

"Hm?"

"Wouldn't it be fun if we could..."

"If we could, what?"

"Do this!"

Hu Tao grabs a stick off the grass and threw it at Zhongli. He nearly got hit by it as he ducked down. The Archon forgotten that 'playing along' applies differently to mortals and so he chased Hu Tao with a BIGGER stick he found, almost like a branch.

"WOAH! HEY- ZHONGLI!!" Hu Tao nervously laughs as she runs. The both of them jump over a few cliffs and smal ledges. "CAN'T RUN FOR LONG!" Zhongli shouts behind, waving the stick in the air like a little kid. It has been a while ever since Zhongli acted like a playful menace to his friends, it was almost nostalgic.

Hu Tao and Zhongli made it to the middle of the area. They were exhausted and decided to sit on the ledge of a cliff. Zhongli drops the stick as he sits down, Hu Tao follows him after. "That's.. enough for now." The Parlor Director sighs in relief.

Zhongli observes the space below them. He didn't find anything out of the ordinary at first but looked to his right. "Want to check out that patch of grass over there?" Zhongli points to the area with red marks on the floor. Hu Tao nods as she immediately glided down.

Zhongli came down next and walks in front of the other. Upon approaching closer, a metallic scent could be smelt. The both of them realized instantly and started looking around.

Hu Tao found a broken object and a bloody knife. Zhongli on the other hand observed more on the grass. It was damp and there was a trail of blood leading to the left. The only way to find out was to follow the path.

"Come with me-"

"You can go ahead, I'll stay back here and investigate more. There might be even more things here."

Zhongli nods and began following the trail. Questions fill his head as he took each step. The atmosphere was tense, was he going to relive the past? He was scared to even walk but Zhongli couldn't stop there.

On one short turn, Zhongli was petrified at the sight.
