Chapter 26

Fernando's POV

I stepped out of the car a little bit after Ricardo and Monica. Ricardo rushed over to Aaron's car for whatever reason. It was kinda awkward in the car with them considering the fact that I don't talk to Monica at all. I looked around to see Aaron and Lizbeth stepping out of his car. A feeling of jealousy hit me because I wasn't sure how to feel about that. But I did tell Lizbeth I would choose to push my feelings away and respect her feelings. I look away as I came face to face with Clara and...Irina?

She looked different. Her hair was straight and you can actually see the highlights she had in her hair all this time. She had on a dark green shirt and Mom jeans I think she probably borrowed those clothes form Lizbeth and Clara. I stood there staring at Irina amazed by her change.

"Hey Vela you okay there?" Irina asked as she waved her hand slowly across my face

"Uh..yeah? You just look...great" I said as I stood back and got a good look at her

"Like what you see?" Clara asked as she looked proud

"Yeah I mean Jesus...you looked great before but now...damn" I said looking at her up and down

"Okay enough looking, keep your heart eyes for my sister" Clara said as she playfully grabbed my arm and turned me around for face Clara. It hit me, why did she say that?

"Wait..what did you say?" I asked as she stopped and looked back at me with confusion

"Say what?" Clara asked

"I mean you said to keep my heart eyes for your sister...what do you mean by that?" I asked

"Oh c'mon fern...we all know you're in love with my sister and have always been" Clara said as she gave me a smirk and walked past me

Irina was about to walk away with Clara when I grabbed ahold of her arm and yanked her back as she looked back at me with some fear in her eyes.

"How the hell does she know that?" I asked Irina waiting for an answer

"Know what?" She asked acting all dumb

"You know exactly what the hell I'm talking about, how the hell does Clara know?" I asked

"First of all let go of my arm" Irina said as I didn't realize I was holding a tight grip on her arm and slowly let her go "we got into a little discussion before getting here and it just came out and I'm sure Lizbeth didn't take it seriously" Irina explained

"I told Lizbeth how I felt today and it didn't end well. I told you last summer" I said clenching my jaw "I trusted you not to say anything" I said giving Irina a glare

"She doesn't feel the same about you so like I said she didn't take it seriously" Irina said as she walked past me. I stood there breathing in and out heavily of the emotions flooding through my mind. Lizbeth and Aarón walked up to me.

"Hey there" Lizbeth said as she hugged me and I hugged back not even trying to give her the tight hugs I always gave her

"Hey" I said plainly with an attitude. She noticed but she brushed it off.

"Sup" Aaron said with a neutral tone. I look back at him and scoffed and walking off leaving then both there not caring to look back.

I walked up to Monica and Ricardo as they were talking. "At least you two aren't dating" I said walking last then making my way to the seats to finally go be able to get a good view of the drag race.

Lizbeth's POV

Fernando walks past us not giving Aaron a chance like I had asked him too. Aaron looked bothered by his action as he sighs in annoyance
