Chapter 21

Fernando's POV

It felt like I hadn't seen my only one and best friend in a while. Lizbeth. The guys and I casually walking down the hallways looking for Ricardo and Andy, actually Aaron, Gonzalo and Tony were looking for Ricardo and I was looking for Andy. I looked up from my phone to see Lizbeth down the hall with Sandra and Irina. I walked past the guys as I walked up to Lizbeth.

"Hey" I said. The girls froze and Lizbeth turned to face me, The guys already behind me.

"Hi" she said and then looked at the guys "bye" she said once again walking past us.

I felt dumbfounded, like I had been rejected by my crush, technically at this point Lizbeth would reject me. I looked at her as she walked down the hallway and disappearing into the crowd, I looked back at the girls as they looked away.

"What the hell just happened?" I asked as I pointed back at Lizbeth's direction with my thumb still looking at the girls for answer

"Women..and periods" Irina blurted our. Sandra smacked her arm as her eyes widen. Irina shrugged looking down

"Nice try Fernando but she knows you.. wait no she knows what you guys did last night" Sandra said. She smirked at me.

"W-what did we do?" I asked as I backed up a little almost bumping into Aaron who's always in my way

"I don't know..you guys jumped the Anderson's as I recalled?" Sandra questioned

"Did Ricardo's big mouth say something to you?" I asked

"Of course our man Ron can't keep that big mouth of his shut" Tony said

"No no no..Ricardo I think knows when it's right to keep his mouth shut..I happen to pass by last night with Irina in her car with her mother and I saw just about..things" she said ever so calmly I knew she was just mocking us

"I called it..knew we'd get caught eventually" Aaron said as he sighed

"Don't worry Luna I'm sure you have some charming method of getting Lizbeth not to be upset with you" she winked at Aaron. Her gaze moved towards me as she looked at me with disappointment "as for YOU" she said poking my chest so hard I winced "think of something" she said walking sway as she pulled Irina by her arm away from us

"I'm gonna go look for Ricardo" I said as I walked past the guys down the hallway to Ricardo. I wanted to believe the girls but I don't remember seeing a Cadillac passing down by the Andersons house last night. But then again none of us were really paying attention to any car passing by down the street.

I walked down the hallway looking around for Ricardo just to confirm that he didn't say a damn thing. Something didn't add up to what the girls told me just now. It also didn't add up to the fact that Lizbeth didn't explode in our faces as she would. I looked back to see if I had accidentally passed Ricardo right when I bumped into someone. I stumbled back just a bit to come face to face Ricardo.

"W-

"Did you say anything to Lizbeth after last night?" I asked firmly

"No..this time I actually kept my mouth shut" he said. He was actually looking me in the eye which meant he was telling the truth.

"Don't play with me Ray" I said stepping closer to him as he backed up

"I seriously actually didn't say anything..why?" He asked

"Lizbeth somehow knows..apparently Sandra and Irina passed by last night and saw us" I explained

"What're they gonna do? Call the cops?" He asked playfully

"No asshole as in Beth is pissed off" I said

"Eh big deal she'll get over it..why do you care so much? The one who should be caring is Aaron" Ricardo said as he shrugged in annoyance

"When she's mad..she's mad" is all I said. He stood there and looked at me not saying a word. Then stepped closer

"Do you like her?" He asked

"What?" I asked shoving him

"Nothing..it's just.. you know now you're acting like her boyfriend" he said as he shrugged his shoulders

"Oh yeah? How?" I said folding my arms

"I mean if I were her boyfriend..I'd practically be acting like..how you're acting" he said

"I don't like her..she's my best friend and I care about her..is that crime?" I asked

"No, no..just remember she chose Aaron" he said patting my back as he walked passed, leaving me standing there in the middle of the hallway while students talked about their lives and shit away. Ricardo knew exactly I had more for Lizbeth than just the friendship

                                  Aaron's POV

   My day was already not starting off good. Lizbeth found out by the girls? I'm not sure whether Fernando got the same story from Ricardo or Ricardo actually did say something to Lizbeth as we all suspect. I was in the chemistry, along side with Gonzalo who was aggressively tapping his pencil against the desk. I shoved his arm as he stopped and looked me dead in the eyes as he rolled his eyes looking away from me.

Lizbeth was at her usual seat tapping her finger against the desk. She didn't look back. I know she was mad for what I did. I just kept staring at the back of her head mentally hoping she'd turn around and at least look at me. On second thought I don't know why I'm worried, she's not my girlfriend. But I do like her. A lot.

"You're going to the drag race tonight?" I heard Gonzalo ask

"Yeah..I have two tickets" I said as I looked up and over to Lizbeth's direction

"She hates drag races" he said. I turned over to face him

"How would you know?" I asked

"I was once her pre Fernando too" he said "you knew that already"

"So you knew everything" I said

"Just about..but hey if you ask now..especially you, she might go" he said shrugging his shoulders

"Mr. Smith and Mr. Luna..talk to each other out of the classroom" the teacher said. We didn't complain..it wasn't the end of we stopped talking for now. I looked up as I saw Lizbeth look back. We made eye contact for a second but she turned back around. Not a single motion in her face.

"Invite her Luna" Gonzalo said as he leaned back into his seat. I looked around and noticed Ricardo wasn't even in here at all. If he skipped class then something definitely was going on.
