Lizbeth's POV
I walked out of class after Aaron and I had a nice talk. After walking down the hallway with students bombarding the hallways, I managed to bump into someone. What is it with me bumping into people today? To my surprise I look up to see my one and only Fernando.
"Thank god its you who I bumped into" I said now walking with him
"I tried texting you, are you okay? I saw you bump into that guy" he said softly grabbing my arm looking back
"Yeah yeah I'm okay, I saw you giving him the worst death glare of the century what the hell was that about?" I asked
"What? He's a South guy and they're not good guys" he said giving me a obvious look to his reason
"I know that, pretty obvious thing to say to me" I said chucking
"Very funny, did he say anything to you?" He asked
"He just asked for my name and then flirted with me in class" I said shrugging my shoulders
"What?! He flirted with you!? You act like that's not a bad thing, what did he say to you?"He asked getting all protective oh here we go again
"What? His flirting was kinda cute it's weird...it was respectful..Aaron was respectful" I said
"Does he at least know you're related to Clara?" He asked now getting curious
"Actually no he was surprised and then he told me I was very pretty" I said
"Don't let that fool you" Fernando said giving me a stern look
"At least he's a lot nicer than Gonzalo" I said looking away
"And he still hangs around with them" he said as we stopped at my locker to put my notebook in there
"And and I'm sure he kno-
"Don't" I said slamming my Locker door shut before he could say more
"I'm sorry but I'm only looking out for you" He said pulling me into a hug
"I was starting to think you both didn't end up here" we heard from ahead of us as we looked ahead to see Andy walking towards looking happy as ever
"Hey just the man I wanted to see" Fernando said as he gave Andy a manly hug whatever guys call it
"My favorite Martinez, don't tell your sister" he said pulling me into a hug as I hugged him back
"Well all know Clara is the Martinez you're in love with" Fernando said smirking
"Alright just make sure you don't say that in front of her" Andy said as he smiled at me
"Sure, I'm going to class see you guys in the cafeteria and we'll catch up" I said walking away and they made their way to their classes. I entered my class to be chemistry
I looked around the class to see if I knew anyone but I saw Sandra, thank god. Her and I aren't exactly fond of each other she thinks I took Irina away from her when we all met which was back in elementary school but that was never my intention. We are friends but we still have our moments where we can't stand each other. It's a hate/love friendship we have.
"Hey San" I said sitting next to her
"Hey, you liking it around here so far?" She asked as she was organizing her notebooks
"It's not too bad it may be later on" I said looking ahead of me
"I see you bumped into that cute guy, were you okay?" she said as she looked me even though I didn't make eye contact with her
"Fernando flipped out, he gave Aaron this look like he hated him so much but they don't even know each other" I said
"Fernando will be Fernando he's just looking out for you. Just remember if Aaron hangs around with them then he must kn-
"No" I said shutting my eyes knowing what she was going to say but I didn't want to hear it come from her or anyone else
"I'm serious" Sandra said
"I know...I'm aware" I said looking at her
"Good" Sandra said giving me a smile.
As class went on being the first day people introduced themselves, the teacher telling us how the year is going to go and what not and the events coming up this year so it's like every first school day. Eventually the time came for lunch as me, Sandra, Andy, Irina and Fernando would meet up for lunch as usual just like we did back in secondary school.
We entered the cafeteria to see groups of students sitting together, some in line just waiting to eat the gross school lunch, some already gathered at tables talking and laughing. We spotted Fernando standing at the end of the line with Irina along with Andy, they saw us as they waved for us to come over to them.
"Hey there" I said hugging Fernando as he hugged me back
"You like it here so far?" Fernando asked
"Its probably better than what North high would've been" I asked
"I can say I'm glad my parents saved up enough for me to go here" Fernando said
"Thankful my mom was able to" I said looking up at him
I noticed that he kept looking past me. I looked at him and turned to see he was staring at Aaron glaring at each other. I don't understand why they're looking at each other that way when he could be looking at Ricardo or Gonzalo that same way but not once has he done so.
"There you got again giving him that look" I said catching Fernando as his attention went right back to me
"Can I let you in a secret?" He asked trying to sound low key softly grabbing my arm
"Please" I said folding my arms to listen
"I know him" he said looking over at him
"What? Is this some kind of joke?" I asked confused with how Fernando knows Aaron
"I've known him since we were kids" he said looking at me dead in the eye
"Ha you're kidding, you're telling me you know a guy from the South?" I asked lifting up my brow
"Keep in mind I lived back in South like you did... moral of the story is Aaron and I didn't exactly get a long as kids only because I was the smaller kid and he always managed to just bring me down and belittle me. So I kinda ratted him out to his parents um...when he broke into some abandoned house with Gonzalo and Ricardo I figured I get rid of him like that...and I did and he hates me for that so his dad and my dad got into some predicament about something years ago before Aaron and I did and and they went their separate ways not sure why but here I am" Fernando said looking quite embarrassed
"I think you both have a good reason to hate a each other" I said sarcastically
"I have a good reason to hate him. He has no reason to hate me" Fernando said looking triggered
"Okay, you're right. But people change" I said
"If for some reason you think of being friends with him keep him out of my way, yeah?" Fernando asked with attitude in his tone
"Will do" I said giving his cheek and pinch of love like always
We grabbed our lunch and headed to the table where Sandra, Irina, Andy and Clara were gathered up already. I sat by Irina as usual and Fernando was always next to me it's just how its always been with us.
"So I heard from fern you bumped into his bestie" Andy said smirking at Fernando while Fernando gave him a death stare in return
"Guys can we not talk about that, you make it seem like I bumped into some celebrity" I said starting to get frustrated
"Just-
"I get it! don't get involved, be careful blah blah just get off my case already" I said as I got up and walked out of the cafeteria not wanting to look back
