Chapter 8

                                   Lizbeth's POV
2:30am
August 16th

    I awoke from my nap, not knowing how long I'd been out. I sat up adjusting my hair since it was kind of messy but not so much that it looked bad. I looked at the time and it was 2am. I stood up from my bed walking to the door exiting my room to see my mom in the living watching her show. I forgot her next shift is in an hour.

"Mom" I said as I walked over to see on the opposite side of the couch

"Yeah?" She asked with her eyes still drawn to the tv in front of her

"I wanted to ask you something" I said

"Which is?" She asked raising her eyebrow something she commonly does now looking at me

"Johnny gets out tomorrow...and I'd have to miss school and Fernando really wants me to go with him and it would mean a lot to Johnny if I went" I said

"Johnny gets out tomorrow??...I suppose why not then. You better tell Johnny I said hello" my mom said sounding happy

My mom sees Johnny as her son. Martha and my mom have been friends since high school and sometimes Martha would leave Johnny and Fernando with my mom while The Velas worked often. Fernando and I grew up together since the beginning of our time. Then we became best friends in middle school.

"Thanks" I said smiling at her as she smiled back. I walked up to my mom and gave her kiss on the cheek. I walked back down the corridor and back into my room. I put on my black shirt and lavender pajamas pants on as I got back into bed and got comfortable enough to be able to fall back asleep.

                                   Ricardo's POV
4:58pm
August 15th

   I was sitting in my car waiting for Gonzalo to show up. He said he needed to talk to me about something that it was urgent. Since when is shit urgent with him? I didn't care to question it. I waited a little more longer when a hand slapped my window causing me to jump. Then Gonzalo showed his dumb smile.

"That fucking scared me" I said rolling down the window

"Sorry man I had to" He said out of breath

"So what's the emergency?" I asked

"You need to keep Aaron and Lizbeth away from each other" he said. I bursted out laughing because I thought he was joking. Then I saw that he was serious

"You know I can't do that. I don't control Lizbeth and you don't control Aaron. They're both humans and they have rights from what I've seen in the constitution" I said smirking

"Quit being stupid. You know it's not a good idea for him to get close to her" he said clenching his teeth with frustration. Sigh here we go again.

"What you and I did to Lizbeth after what happened was wrong. She needed us more than anything and then you believed Derek. When the truth was from Lizbeth!" I said. Gonzalo scoffed at my answer and shook head not caring to listen to me. "I know liz and so do you...you really think she'd do such a thing like that lie?...Derek admitted to his own crime and you still blamed her" I said poking his chest to at least knock some sense into him

"I just..." he said looking down "I just don't want her to get hurt again" he said looking me in the eye

"You say you hate her and then you wanna protect her?" I questioned

"I have mixed feelings towards her and just about everything ever since after, you saw what kind of person Aaron was when he dated Monica" he said looking worried

"But Aaron isn't like that anymore and you know that" I said shaking my head "do you even hate her? I asked

"I don't hate her. I never did. I just think if I began to make myself hate her I'll be able to move on from my mistake" Gonzalo said

"You're complicated guy" I said. He glared me as he walked off not giving me a chance to say anything "love you" I said smirking before driving off.

Gonzalo has his temper and I somehow put up with it. I don't know how Aaron is still friends with him after getting with his ex girlfriend.
