The clone sensed another had joined their ranks. Yet another soul had been freed of the burden of thought and memory. They stood with Prime now, bathing in his light.
Her name had been Catra. There was a time when her mind was engulfed in rage and her heart shattered. She was a dangerous being who took the darkest of paths. Prime guided her to her true place in his empire.
With the help of an embedded Horde chip.
Her once long and bushy hair had been reduced to a pixie cut. Her signature headpiece had been removed. Now she was cloaked in a white uniform, where a hood covered her lime green eyes. On the back of her neck, a small glowing chip was embedded into her spinal cord and nervous system. Most importantly, her thoughts were of a distant past. She was at peace.
The clone looked into this a bit, but didn't dwell on the topic. It was common knowledge that Horde Prime used chips to bring rebellious soldiers into the light. Hence, Catra being made anew was nothing different.
On his own time, the clone couldn't help but try to piece together what was happening. Prime felt that his little brothers did not have the need to know all the current events.
The scars of the pain in purification still lingered, but he was simply too curious to back down. This was why he was different from other clones. This is why Horde Prime wanted to keep him under close surveillance.
From what he gathered, this Catra and Adora were enemies... er, it was more complicated than that. Catra still sought to protect Adora, and sacrificed herself to allow Glimmer's escape. This way, Adora and her indetectable ship wouldn't have to come near the Velvet Glove. Despite her determination, Horde Prime knew that Adora would return for the cat-hybrid. She still cared for Catra. All he had to do now was lie back and wait.
An alert popped up behind Hordak's eyes. The security had been breached. A ship was docking inside the flagship.
It wasn't long before Prime sent someone to check it out. Hordak and a group of brothers met outside of the massive gray and blue ship. It's design was beyond ancient, but was well preserved.
A ramp descended from the hull, revealing a figure. She had fair skin and blond hair whipped into a high ponytail. She glared at the clones, but did not hesitate to put her hands up and slowly walk down. Hordak noticed she had sky blue eyes, something he'd never seen before.
If that was the case, why did it seem familiar?
When she reached the base, two clones cuffed her. Without communication, two others automatically went to search the ship.
"You won't find anything," the girl promised. "I came alone."
She smirked as they left. "I hear Horde Prime's been looking for me. I think it's time we met."
It was the Adora figure from Horde Prime's bounties. The clone looked up and the two inside the ship gave the all clear. "Yes," the clone growled.
Adora stiffened. She recognized him, but how? It's not like he knew her.
"You will be brought before Horde Prime," he continued. "And there you will receive your judgement."
With those words, the group began to march their prisoner along the polished halls of the Velvet Glove. After endless of twists and turns, they came to a halt in front of a massive holographic door. The green filtered away, leaving a gap wide enough for Adora to pass through.
"You will go alone," the clone explained to her.
She hesitated, sucking in a deep breath. The sounds of her boots against the floor echoed throughout the cold ship.
