"Densi" Eric said smiling.

"What are you on about Eric" Nell said rolling her eyes for the fifth time that day.

" Deeks and Kensi,.....DENSI" He said enthusiastically, making jazz hands in the air to exaggerate his point.

"Thanks ridiculous, how are we some measly tech nerds meant to bring the most unstable partnership of the century together to form an.....um"

"R word" Eric interupted.

"Exactly, how?" She asked her brow furrowing.

"Easy, we get them drunk and let them do the rest" Eric said looking smug and what he thought was an airtight plan. Unfortunately Nell could see all sorts of holes.

"It's not gonna be that easy"

"Why? Last time we got drunk all kinds of crazy stuff happened" Eric said beaming. Nell could for one not remember a single moment of that night after her 4th beer, she just hoped with every inch of dignity she had left from childhood that she didn't do anything too ridiculous.

"Yeah, totes, you know I don't remember much, actually most of that night right. Then the next morning I wake up passed out in your bathroom wearing your quidditch t-shirt feeling like my head was gonna explode" She said matter if factly, waving her finger in his face.

That wiped the smile right off his face that was replaced by an overwhelming blush that only meant trouble.

"Your really cute when you blush" Nell said without thinking and immediately put her hand over mouth to stop herself from saying anything else.

Nell felt warm blood rise up her cheeks filing her impish face, right to the tip of her ears.

"Now who's blushing?" Eric said smirking all too knowingly.

"Blushing, who's blushing? Are the Wonder Twins flirting again? " Deeks said walking in at the exact wrong moment as per usual.

Eric and Nell turned to face him and he coughed/laughed. "Wow, what happened did you guys get sunburn...?"

"Cut it out Deeks" Nell said sternly

"Like all over your face, or did Beale finally take my advice?" Deeks finished.

"Advice, What advice?" Kensi asked bouncing into OPS in a particularly good mood. " if it's Deeks giving advice it isn't gonna be any good"

"Yeah, what advice?" Nell asked rounding on Eric, who was trying to stay as quite as possible as this escalade unfolded.

"It was just advice about having a female partner, it's not like I could got to Callen or Sam." Eric said toning down what had actually happened. Which entailed Eric practically begging Deeks to help him land a date with Nell.

"What kind of advice would this be?" Kensi asked intrigued her hand on her hip.

"I'm sorry Beale, but going against these two I don't have a chance, I'm gonna have to throw you overboard." Deeks said regret in his eyes.

Eric sprung from his chair and was about to speak when Deeks said "Eric begged me to help him get a date with Nell"

The whole room was silent except for Eric's now heavy breathing. Kensi felt really uncomfortable pulling at the ends of her shirt. Trying not to look at Nell, who's eyes were wide and orb like, she was biting her lower lip like she always does when she is nervous.

"Sorry" Eric whispered half running aout of Ops. The other three just stood there not wanting to go after him.

A single tear fell from Nell's cheek and onto the floor.
