Some years later
Eric held her hand tightly, he wished she would never let go but one of these days, one day soon she would. he just couldn't take it.
"Dad" Tess asked walking in, all dressed for work. "have you even moved since this morning?" she asked placing a bag of groceries on the kitchen counter.
"I went to the bathroom around noon" Eric said not taking his eyes of Nell's face silent tears streaking his cheeks.
"How is she?"
"No worse, no better" Eric said meakly.
"Dad, what's the matter? You are normally so chipper."
"I think that maybe when she goes, I won't be able to live without her."
"Hey, don't say that. I can't loose both my parents." Tess said placing a hand on Eric's arm. "Plus you still got plenty of life left in you"
Eric just sighed.
"I know what will make you feel better." Tess said pulling her phone out of her pocket.
"What's that then?"
"Not long after mum got sick, Aunt Kensi sent me this video of the day we met."
The video played. Eric smiled wider and wider.
