To ease myself back in to the one shot game I decided on a little bit of friendship fluff between Eric, Kensi and Deeks. Seeing as they touched on it so much this season.

Eric walked, no strutted down from Ops a delighted and content smile on his face. To those around him there was no real reason for his chipper mood, the few people who had asked him, he replied only with "I'm just having a good day".  He a never very emotionally balanced person was trying to keep in check what can only be described as swelling happiness. The reason for his happiness had started the night before during a in depth covert conversation in Kensi and Deeks's basement. and as of then he had a hard time keeping his emotions under wraps.

The basement was dark, dingy and damp. With only a solitary worn out sofa, cardboard boxes stacked high around the room and a whiteboard. Eric didn't like the place, it reminded him way to much of the horror movies his mum told him not to watch as a young teenager, but had anyway. With its ice cold floor and tall dark shadows, Deeks couldn't have picked a worse place.

However Deeks insisted that it was the perfect place to concoct the Perfect Proposal Plan or PP as Deeks announced enthusiastically laughing till he doubled over, "I'm dating a child" Kensi muttered.

"As much as your toilet humour is highly amusing" Eric uncharacteristically drawled. " We need to get back to the plan" Protesting only slightly when Deeks snatches the marker from him and writes 'proposal ideas' on the board and circles it.

"Okay Bealey boy, lets start with your favourite thing about Nell" Deeks asked turning fully to the whiteboard ready to write.

"WHERETOEVENSTARIDON'TTHINKTHERECOUL;DPOSSIBLYBEJUSTOENEHGTIUGHSFVSHNFIUVSDFHGUFHWER" Eric spewed his thoughts going a mile a minute.

"Woah, slow down there." Kensi exclaimed resting her hand on Eric's arm stopping his word vomit. "We asked for one thing not fifty thousand"

"I don't know guys she's just so perfect i can't even begin to describe how perfect she is to me ya know" Eric said putting his head in his hands.

Deeks smirked at that "yeah i know"

"Shut up" Kensi exclaimed punching Deeks in the shoulder.

"Guys, focus" Eric stammers.

"Okay, okay okay, what about a picnic at the beach, the ring is in her ice cream?" Kensi suggested.

" No that's too cliche"

"And over done" Deeks pointed out.

"Altight Casanova what do you suggest" Kensi crossed her arms and leaned back against the sofa. This was gonna be good.

Deeks stood still for a second, a hand on his chin, as if  deep in thought.

"Alright, how about you take her on a surprise trip to her parents, and propose in front of all of them"

Eric's face was a picture, he looked absolutely petrified. Eric's inner monologue was screaming that that it was too risky, there where too many variables.

Before Eric knew what hit him a hand hit him in the side of the face. "Owww" he brought his hand up to gently touch his now bright red cheek. "What was that for?"

"You zoned out, Beale. You okay" Kensi asked her soft brown eyes full of concern.

"Yeah i'm okay." Eric sighed sinking even more into the squishy sofa.

"I'm guessing thats a no, on my idea." Deeks pondered eyes trained on Eric's face.

"Its a nice idea, fantastic even but thare are so many variables what if she doesn't say yes, I don't want her to reject me in front of her entire family."

"Don't worry about it man." Deeks said sinking into the sofa next to him and clapping an arm round his shoulder. "Her rejecting you is not a possibility. "

They sat in meditative silence for second before..

Like a lightning bolt it hit him. He jumped up suddenly from his place on the sofa his eyes aglow with anticipation.

"I'VE GOT IT." He almost squeals in sheer delight. " I KNOW WHAT TO DO".

He ran up the basement stairs and out of sight. Leaving the other two occupants of the room in a dazed state of shock.

Dun Dun Dun tune in next week to see how Eric proposes.

So this is it guys the start to my big come back. Sorry it was published so late or early depending on where in the world your from. Its 21:57 GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) where i am and i am slightly dejected to say i've been working on this all day. Oh and prompt ideas 💡. I may be creative (sorta) but we all run out of ideas some times, right? IDK
