Green with Envy

After soaking in her bath for a little over an hour, Envy was feeling almost back to her old self..

Almost.

What luck.. coming across another god. His life force healed her within minutes. It was his bad luck that he entered the room before Thor. She was happy enough though with how things had played out.. Loki's magic was delicious and filled her up more than sufficiently for the time being.

Plus the added advantage of taking revenge for what he had done to her new friend Clint Barton.

Besides the fact he risked saving her when Envy's impeccable hearing had caught the doctor trying to talk him out of it, She had read his mind briefly and seen just what Loki's mind control had done to him.

She knew only too well the pain he went through during that time as she had fallen to a similar faith. Only hers lasted decades.. and was more physical than what Barton had experienced.

Either way she owed the man a debt for saving her from that place.. she never imagined she would leave it alive.

*** Envy's POV ***

I leave the bathroom to find a pile of clothes on the side table. The pretty red head had said she would bring a change of clothes for me.
I pull on the cotton tank top and baggy bottoms.. although not in my taste they are comfortable.

I leave the shoes aside. Barefoot I walk out to the area where all the other 'heroes' have gathered patiently waiting for me.

All their eyes shoot in my direction as I emerge from the room. Thor glares at me. He's weary of me after the whole incident with Loki, But the others watch me curiously.

"You look like your feeling better..' Clint says kindly.

"Yes she does..' The blond man chimes.. " Miss, we need you to tell us about what happened back in that bunker. What did HYDRA do to you? And how did they keep you so long?"

He's very handsome. And he had that righteous attitude that usually attracted me.

"It's quite a long story ..Mr?"

"Rogers ma'am. Steve Rogers.." He gives me a small smile.

His name is very familiar.

"Well Steve Rogers, I would happily tell you about my time in captivity but I was rather hoping for something to eat first?  And Maybe a glass of wine.."

Steve looks over to the darker haired man I know to be Tony Stark.

"After what you did to mischief earlier lady you can have as much wine as you want!"

"Do not reward her behavior Stark she has used her powers against one of our team and she cannot be trusted so easily.. She is more dangerous than she looks."

I roll my eyes towards the god of thunder.
"Oh stop that Thor. You know he will recover soon and besides I only took enough to heal myself. Otherwise it might have been weeks before I repaired myself naturally... plus you know of me don't you? Or do those on Asgard see themselves as the only Gods in the universe..."

Thor went to speak but was interrupted by Banner.

"So you are a god then?" He asks.
