****Envy's POV****
"You think YOUR PREGNANT?!" Bruce yells.
Loki practically dragged me to the lab, excited beyond comprehension at the prospect of being proved right about his assumption that I was pregnant.
Banner and I, on the other hand, were not handling it as well.
"We are certain she is pregnant actually, now if you would cease your yelling I would appreciate if you could use one of your mortal scanning devices to confirm it." Loki prompts the stunned looking doctor as he guides me gently towards one of the more comfortable looking stools in the room.
I have barely been able to say more than two words since Loki's discovery of the possible life growing inside me.
How did it happen? Well.. I mean.. not the how. We have sex of course, lots of it but, HOW?!
I feel my mind drifting into an investigation of the last few weeks trying to figure out how I suddenly became fertile over night..
"I can't just scan her Loki, Especially not here! The lab is hardly sterile and the equipment we need is in the medical bay not in here." Bruce argues but I am hardly paying attention.
Have I been Fertile this whole time? Did the General lie?
"So why are we standing here? lets go to the medical bay and run your primitive tests.." I hear my fiancé retort.
"Excuse me for being a little surprised when you just barge in here and tell me Envy is pregnant and start making demands. I don't work for you your highness.."
"You have taken an oath of care have you not? is it too much to ask you check over a pregnant woman?"
"Your not asking your demanding, and maybe we should ask Envy if she is happy for me to actually carry out an examination? She's looking a little shocked herself right now.." Bruce points out to the god of mischief who only then realises I have hardly spoken since he first discovered the heartbeat.
Bruce's quip seems to grab Loki's attention as he turns to find me sitting on the chair staring into space.
"Angel? Are you alright?" He coos, caressing my cheek now looking concerned at my silence and far off expression.
I don't know what to say. I stare back at him into those seafoam green eyes that I have come to adore so much and cannot gather the syllables to put together on how I feel in this moment.
"Ugh, maybe I should give you guys a few minutes," Bruce says nervously making his way towards the lab door, "If you need me Ill be over in Med Bay. You can come find me when your ready." I know he's directing his words at me, but its Loki who waves his hand as if he's swatting the doctor away.
"Love, what is the matter?.." He asks me, the concern evident in his lovely deep voice. Usually that sound would calm me instantly..
"I.. I don't know.. Its a lot to take in." I stutter out in reply.
Loki sighs. " I understand Envy. Its a huge shock for me too.."
