*******************Envy's POV*****************
I'll give it to the girls.. they know how to throw a party.
We can hear the music blaring before we even reach the doors to the room. I look to Loki who seems nervous. "Is the God of mischief afraid of a few drunken shield agents?" I nudge his side and give him a smile.
"I am not afraid.. I just .." I knew what he was going to say. He was afraid of the side ways looks and judgement.. and the fear coming from all the people behind the door. Loki wasn't liked here, you didn't have to be a mind reader to know it. But I had seen inside his mind , I knew all he needed was a little encouragement.
"No need to explain. Just ignore them and try enjoy yourself .. If any of the mean old mortals try to bully you , you come straight to me okay? Consider me your Valkyrie for the evening." I jeer while pinching his cheek. He rolls his eyes at me but I can see a slight grin playing on his lips.
I push open the doors to reveal a lavish room with a huge dancefloor. Tables were set up around the edges of the room and the band that we had chosen earlier were on a stand at the back of the room playing some jazzy up beat tune. There were a few people up dancing and more standing over near the buffet. The smells coming from it where heavenly but my sights were set on the bar where a few of our new friends were congregating.
I strode over towards them and turned to see Loki strolling behind me. As we reached the group natasha was the first to notice us.
"Envy.. Loki.. Did I miss the all black memo?" She winks and hands me and Loki a Margarita.
"Well we are the trying to blend in Natasha.." I smile at her. Loki looks at the drink suspiciously before sniffing it
"The only poison your gonna find in there is tequila your highness and hey If your trying to blend in maybe try not looking so god damn gorgeous En your putting us to shame.."
Just then Doctor Banner and Tony walk to us ordering drinks from the bartender. "Ms Romanoff are you trying to flirt with me?" I move closer to the red head start stroking her forearm and the three mens eyes almost pop out.
"Maybe I am.. The nights still young you know." Doctor banner looks like he is about to get sick while Tony and Loki are smiling like Cheshire cats.
Me and the black widow burst out laughing before cheering each other.
"No please Ladies continue, we need something to liven up the old guys party!"
I spot someone walking towards us and smile. "Oh I think the party will be lively enough Stark.."
Everyone turns to see Pepper walking towards us.
