***Short chapter***

"Master.. we have picked up the location of the Asgardian."

The mad Titan grins to himself. "Where is he hiding?"

"He is on Earth master, we have picked up on his magic. He is.. conflicted. His mind is weakened, we should strike now while his guard is down!"

The other was excited by the prospect of capturing the god of mischief again. It had been too long since he had a prisoner to torture. None had survived as long as the Prince had.

"No. We will not take him just yet,'
As disappointed as he was, the other knew not to argue with his master.
"Keep your eye on him. See what information he has on the Heroes and stones before we pay him a visit."

"His mental barriers are still in place Master, but we will monitor him closely. He cannot hide from us forever. Payment must be made for his failure.."

The Titan let out a low growl. "The Asgardian will pay with his life.. now go. I want to know every detail of his stay on earth. The mind stone is still on that worthless planet.."

The other bows to him. "There is another power source on the planet master. We do not yet know it's origin but, it may be another stone."

Thanos turns and grins fiendishly at his minion. "Wonderful. Our visit to the planet may be more bountiful than I thought. Go. I need to know more about this power."

With a nod the other leaves the Titan alone.

He stands on the barren rock staring out into the universe. The distant planets twinkling beautifully.

He had been furious at the prince's failure. Not only had he lost the tesseract and the mind stone, but he also destroyed a great deal of his Chitari army.

He had underestimated the humans. From what the god had told him they were nothing more than an ant under a boot waiting to be destroyed.

He was wrong.

The humans proved more than capable of defeating the Asgardian and his army.
They were also aware now of the Titans presence in the universe and his plans to gather all the stones. This hindered him in some way, he liked having the element of surprise.

But it didn't matter now. The plan would still go ahead. He would dispose of the 'Avengers' easily and take the stones. The universe craved balance. And Thanos would be the one to give it what it wanted.

"Great one. Excuse my interruption. I have some news you may be interested in.."

Thanos turns to meet the dark eyes of his informer.

"Well my child. What news do you bring me?"

"It's the woman. She has escaped."

This was not the news the Titan had expected.
"Escaped? How did you let this happen general? We need her essence to build our army!"

The man gulped loudly. The Titan terrified him.
"I am sorry Master. The heroes found her.. she is staying with them now."

"Do they suspect our involvement?"

"Not that I am aware. They know it was HYDRA that held her, but nothing is linked to you father."

'That was something' he thought to himself. The less the avengers knew the better.

"Earth is starting to fill up with objects I need greatly. Ready the Chitari General. Our trip to your home planet may be sooner than we planned."

The General smirked. He was hoping his master would say that. It's been too long since he stared into her yellow eyes, filled with fear and desperation.
Too long since his ears were met with her begging and pleading. How he enjoyed tormenting the raven haired goddess.

"With pleasure master."
