Green with Envy

You just had to piss him off..

*****Loki's POV*****

"Envy, newest member of the Avengers! Has a nice ring to it.."

"It does doesn't it. So your officially one of us now.. You know what that means?" Natasha smirks towards the goddess with her arms folded.

"More drinking?" She asks amusingly.

"Exactly!" Tony exclaims.

"NO! Not more drinking.. it means more training, which means we get to watch you kick Steve's ass again!"

"Haha Romanoff , I remember her giving you a run for your money too.."

"Yea but yours was funnier." Natasha smirks.

"I don't know why we can't drink AND watch hot stuff kick America's ass?"

"Okay children! That's enough.. jeez they must really like you, I haven't seen you all this excited.. ever." Fury adds. "Now Envy, Get yourself down to the lab Tony is going to have to get your fitted with our COMMS equipment as-well as some of our training gear."

"Already working on that Fury. But Envy's welcome down to the lab anytime.. speaking of which anyone see Banner?"

I watch Stark and Envy smirk and look towards Romanoff who seems to get a bit flustered at the mention of the beast.

"I am sure he's buried in some experiment somewhere.. Anyways Stark get Envy suited up. The sooner we are done training her, the sooner we can get her out on missions.."

Stark mumbles something under his breath and walks towards the door, Envy follows him but stands at the door waiting for me to follow.

"Hold on there Mr Laufeyson, I need a word with you."
I turn and glare at the one eyed man. Envy starts to make her way back over to me.
"I need to speak with him alone.."

Envy glances towards the captain and Romanoff who are still seated at the table. "So why are they staying here?"

Before Fury can answer her back I turn to the goddess. "I am more than capable of looking after myself Envy. Go join Stark I will see you later."

For a moment I think I see a flicker of hurt in her yellow eyes but she nods and exits the room after Stark.

With Envy gone I change my demeanor in front of the director and others. I put my hands behind my back and pace slowly at the end of the table.
"What is it you want from me Director?"

"I just wanted to remind you of your position here .."

"I am fully aware of my position here with your measly organization.. so what is the real reason you wanted to speak with me?"

Fury smirks. "Well now you seem to have made friends with our newest recruit let me just be clear.. You better not be planning anything or thinking of using her in some way.."

My blood boils at his words. How dare he accuse me of such a thing. I wouldn't admit it to this mortal but I would never do that to her.

"I see, so your concerned I may take advantage of the goddess of chaos and discord?' I laugh out loud. "Who knew you cared so much Director? But I must point out that Envy is a god. She cannot be fooled or won over as easily as you think.. you should be more concerned that she is using me?"

"I highly doubt a woman like that would need to use you Loki, but don't think I am not going to keep my eye on her too. You are both under watch here, just because the rest of the team think she can be trusted doesn't mean I do."
