Planet Morag-

"Something bothering you?"

My gaze turns to Nebula.
These past weeks we had been practically inseparable thanks to Thanos constant missions into the deepest parts of space in search of the infinity stones.

And Nebula and I hated each other..

I didn't know why at first, nor did I care. But having the ability to read her mind in small amounts, along with the obvious need to please her 'father' and commander, it soon became apparent that Nebula had a serious case of the green eyed monster.

"I grow bored of these quests." I state flatly.

"Your feelings are unimportant. Father ordered us to fetch the stone and that is what we should do."

I roll my eyes. Something that has become a common occurrence when speaking with the warrior. "I will not be ordered by anyone.. including your father.."

"You make it sound like you have a choice.."

"Because I do. Your father may be mister high and mighty out in space Nebula, but unlike you and your famous sister he mentions every 5 minutes I know how to say no to him."

Her black Beady eyes flicker with hatred at the mention of Gamora.

It was obvious to everyone, Thanos included, how much Nebula despised her adopted sister. 'The most fearsome woman in the galaxy' Thanos calls her. Something about the woman brings out a kind of softness in him. He brags about her viscous nature, her speed and callousness in battle.. and all of her kills. Not normally something a father would be proud of but Thanos is not a real father.

Not that I would know what one is. My own father was just as cruel as he is. In fact I often think of how well they would get along if they were to meet..

My blood turns cold at the thought.

Nebulas petulant voice brings me out of my trance. "..Yet here you are.. doing exactly what he's asked you to."

"Let's get one thing straight here..' I turn to the half woman- half robot, my nostrils flared , "Unlike you, I do not take orders from Thanos. Anything I do, I do out of my freewill.. and although I don't agree with his methods I do owe your father a debt for saving me from my captors. I may not like what I am doing but I am a woman of my word. I will find the rest of the stones and help him harness them but anything beyond that is up to him. Now do me a favour and get off my fucking back Nebula.. because your constant bitching in my ear is doing nothing to help us find the stones!" I scream the last few words making the woman smirk.

"Hit a nerve have I?" She sneers. I turn away and start marching towards the ruins that apparently hold the power stone. I try to ignore her constant bickering.. It's as if she wants me to explode on her, tear her eyes out.. read her mind and use her deepest darkest secrets against her.. or just make her head explode by just thinking about it.. but something stops me.

As we near the ruins she is still nipping at my heels complaining excessively, some weird bald-rat like creatures start to actually nip at our heels, and taking out all my pent up frustration on them I kick them away to the side easily.

".. and Gamora would have never won me in a fair fight! Father always went easy on her.. allowed her extra weapons .."

Gods my head hurts listening to her.

Actually my head hurts all the time.. since Thanos released me from the cage I was held in by Hydra - and the General- my headaches have been getting worse and worse.

Since my release I can't easily read minds like before.. I do have some control over people but not to the extent I did before..
Thanos tells me it will take time for my mind to heal, that the stones will help me unlock my powers true potential..
