Ahsoka sits, trembling, with her head in her hands. The small bit of light coming in through the window of Ahsoka's room in the Jedi Temple casts a shadow on her face that embodies despair. Ahsoka has had a life that others would envy; being one of the few who were force-sensitive, finding her true family with the Jedi, and training as a Padawan alongside the revered pilot and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. But Ahsoka feels as if her life is no longer an envious one; just as a relationship she's long dreamt of is beginning to bloom, it seems to be wilting faster than a Jedi Starfighter in hyperspace.
Across the desert planes of Geonosis, Ahsoka saw her; her big blue eyes shining as she strolled innocently alongside her master. Anakin's argumentative words faded into the back of Ahsoka's mind as she watched her fellow Padawan, Barriss Offee, walking towards her.
"Padawan learner, Barriss Offee, at your service," the Mirialan said with a curtsy. Ahsoka blushed and shook Barriss's hand in her own style. A tingle ran up her arm.
"Ahsoka," she said. Barriss smiled and nodded.
"Alright, you two, we've got a weapons factory to blow up!" Barriss and Ahsoka shared one last smile and then hurried after their masters. Suddenly, Ahsoka stopped in her tracks, touching a hand to her chest.
"Ahsoka? What is it?" Barriss asked, placing her hand on Ahsoka's arm.
"Oh, it's nothing..." But it wasn't nothing. Ahsoka felt as if she had received a message from the Force; being with Barriss had already just felt... right. But now, it felt as if nothing else had ever been right in Ahsoka's life before; like being with Barriss was the right thing.
