Jordan felt like he was in bed with a stranger. "Ava, please talk to me "he pleaded inching closer to her still form. "What is there to talk about Jordan?" she mumbled and cleared her throat. He remained silent for a moment, then decided to gently roll her over so that he could see her. Her eyes glimmered from post loving making and something else. Sadness within or his worst fear at this very moment, regret. He didn't want to believe that Ava regretted making love with him. She remained distant almost as if not wanting him to touch her. "Are you alright?" He asked and swallowed hard. She nodded silently and tried to force out a smile. "I need to use the bathroom" she spoke as she tried to usher him off of her. "Ava-" Jordan began and then spoke again, but not quite trusting the words that followed ; "You don't regret this... do you?"

No response.

"Jordan, I have to really use the bathroom" she said while completely ignoring his question. He allowed her to get off the bed and watched as she dragged the bedsheet towards the big bathroom located at the end of the room. On the way there, she picked up one of the complementary robes the hotel room offered and closed the door behind her.

Upon closing the door, Ava burst into tears. After they finished, such emotions didn't register in her mind up until she came back down from cloud 9. 'Idiot' she mentally cursed to herself. The night replaying over and over again in her head. Her breathing became heavier reminiscing his touch. She thought of ways to escape and dodge his questions. Ava didn't have the answers he was looking for. Her body and heart had betrayed her and only now, was she paying the consequences of her actions.

Part of her wanted to crawl into bed and make love to him and the other, wanted to disappear and cut all ties of communication with him. Dried tears covered the apples of her cheeks whilst she tied her robe and fixed her hair. She then brushed her teeth that came in a complementary hygienic kit and washed her face with cold water. Most importantly, she used the bathroom for hygienic purposes and then washed her hands.

Slowly, she cracked open the door, only to find Jordan in his Calvin Kleins sipping a bottled water. He immediately sensed her presence and turned around, offering a sweet smile. Ava sat on a small couch near the balcony and crossed one leg over the other.

She then walked out into the balcony and closed the door behind her. Jordan didn't hesitate to follow behind, after slipping on the pair of sweats that were laying on the floor. "Ava" he murmured into her ear and he wrapped his arms around her waist. He felt her tense up and pulled away immediately to question her. Instead, he settled for holding her hand, which was somewhat trembling. "I just needed fresh air"she began as she continued to look at the skyline.

"It's cold, we should go inside" Jordan suggested. Ava shook her head and bit her lip to refrain it from wanting to quiver. "I promise we won't do anything if you don't want to , but we need eat something and rest " he tried convincing. "It's not like we already didn't do what-" she mumbled but cut herself off. "Go on-" he urged, "Finish what you were gonna say". "It's nothing" she responded and shrugged. 'It can't happen again though' she took a mental note for herself to remember.

"I hope you don't think that this a one time thing or a one night stand" he admitted softly as he tried to caress her face. "It is a one time thing!" she scolded but then calmly added -"It happened- and there's nothing that can be done about it"and pulled away from him. "Now wait just a second, you think this is a one night stand?" Jordan accused as he walked back inside the room where she sat idle on the bed.
