They eventually fell asleep for some time. Ava woke up before him, her legs already numbing out due to the sleeping grown man lying on her. The sound of soft snoring filled the room as she carefully ran her hand through his hair. In response, Jordan smiled in his sleep. Ava felt like pinching herself to tell if this was a dream or not. Jordan was in her home, in her bed and in her arms. He slept like a baby and held her like he hadn't been held in a long time. Ava longed to love him the way he deserved to be loved. But knew that she had to be selfish. For Jordan already had somebody at home who kept the bed warm for him.
Ava's face twisted in minor disgust when she felt her blanket damp. He was drooling, she giggled to herself and continued to massage his scalp. She looked at bedside table to read the clock, it read 4:35 AM. Her eyes widened, as she realized that Jordan had spent almost the whole night with her. He had to return home before sunrise. "Jordan" she whispered and gently shook him. He did not budge. Ava shook him a bit harder and this time he did. "What time is it?" he asked in a groggy voice as he snuggled closer to her. "Almost 5 in the morning- you have to go, I don't want you to get in trouble" Ava responded gently trying to push him off of her. "Mmm I don't want to, I want to stay here with you forever" he answered pulling the blanket over them more. "We both know that's not possible, now hurry up. Your wife will be worried sick" Ava reasoned letting out a small yawn as she didn't sleep too well. "Think about your boys, I'm sure they'd wonder why their dad didn't come home last night" she added and this time, he did listen. He wouldn't want to worry them. "You're right" he agreed before getting up, Ava stretched her legs as he did. "Do you have a toothbrush I can have?" He asked as he stretched his arms and yawned. "Yeah, in the bathroom, the middle drawer of the sink" she answered as she sunk into the covers.
Jordan freshened up before going back . But he wanted a soft warm kiss to hold him together before entering that cold place. He sat on the side of the bed and looked down at her. Ava peered up at him sleepily and smiled. He leaned down to her level and sighed. His minty breath fanned over her lips. Ava nuzzled her nose against his and smiled. Jordan let out a small groan of frustration from how impatient he was, making her chuckle before kissing the center of his lips. She pulled away slowly and caressed his face once more. "Drive safe" she whispered.
His heart beat steadily in his chest with those mere words. He wished to stay with her and watch the sunrise from her large window in front of her king sized bed. But he had his own life to deal with as did she. Jordan hoped that this wasn't a one time thing. Ava's company made him forget why he was upset in the first place. It was as if she had taken the pain away without knowing it.

Jordan let out a small yawn as he placed the key into the ignition. The strong sweet scent of vanilla lingered in his car. It was then that he realized he had to change, no matter how much he wanted Ava all over him. Her scent brought him tranquility but he couldn't risk this. Inside his car, he forgot he had bought a packet of black tees the other day. Without caring, he pulled off the one penetrated with the sweet scent and slipped one a fresh new shirt. He found a fresh new bottle of cologne as well and sprayed it a few times around his neck. After this, he pulled onto the street and drove off.
At home, his wife was fuming, she assumed that he'd come home later in the night but upon waking up, she realized that Jordan didn't stay the night. She looked outside the window as his car pulled into the driveway. Watching as Jordan contemplated leaving his car.
Jordan couldn't find it in himself to go inside. About an hour or so ago, he was the most relaxed and at peace since he had been in years. He hadn't slept that well since forever. Ava's arms felt like home.
