As soon as Ava got home, she planned to speak to her mother about this trip. She figured that it wouldn't be much of a problem as her mother always encouraged her to go out and live her life. You see, Ava wasn't necessarily the type of person who went out every Friday night, she was the type of person who would rather stay at home and enjoy a good book.
When she unlocked the front door, her mother was in kitchen cooking dinner. "Oh you're finally home" Ana chimed as she wiped her hands on a small towel hanging from the stove. "Yeah sorry, I caught up in a few things" Ava answered as she closed the door behind her. "How was your day? Have you eaten already?". Ana asked as she offered her daughter to take a seat on the couch. "It was good, and I only had coffee with a coffee I bought near my school". "Your school? Wait a minute, does that mean that you got accepted?" her mother asked with hopeful eyes. Ava nodded and smiled. "Wow Ava, that's amazing, I knew you would" she said as she pulled her in for a hug. "Thank you" Ava said as she hugged her tighter. "This calls for a celebration don't you think?". Ava shook her head slowly. "No it's ok mom, I'm just hungry and want to go to sleep but first I wanted to tell you something". "What is it?". "Jordan uhh-" she began but was interrupted. "Your boyfriend?" Ava looked her mom and playfully rolled her eyes. "Yes, my boyfriend" She corrected herself. "What about him?". "Well keep in mind, I am 20 years old" Ava added. "Sweetie I told you, whatever you do with him, it is your life and not mine, I trust you". Ava's eyes widened at the assumption her mother was currently making. " No mom no, not that oh my gosh, it's basically that him and his friends, which I met all, invited me to go camping with them for the weekend to show me around Boston". "Oh, and his friends are girls or guys?" her mother questioned. " They're guys but they're total sweethearts and wouldn't do anything to make me uncomfortable, I promise" Ava assured her. "This was not the time to tell her mother about befriending 5 stars to be. "Jordan will be there?". "Yes, he's gonna be there". "How long did you say you were going?". "For the weekend I think".
Despite being 20 years old, Ava always felt the need to ask her mother for guidance. She felt like she needed to tell her everything that she could but her mother never demanded her any of it. Just as long as Ava was with trustworthy people, and knew that Ava could defend herself against anything. Physical wise, Ava only hoped that she would never be in that kind of situation but emotionally wise, Ava was prepared since she was 11 and her dad walked out on her. She figured if people were gonna cause her pain in exchange for being in her life, then she would rather grab the scissors and cut them out.
"Okay, you may go" her mother said while nodding. "Do I have to ask Wilbert?". "No Ava, I am your mother, you know you should only ask me". Ava nodded and thanked her. "I'll call you when the food is ready" Ana said as her daughter made her way up the stairs. As soon as she got to her room, she debated whether or not she should call Jordan and tell him that she accepted to go. It was almost 8 pm. but she thought that he was probably getting ready to eat or go to bed early.
♡Meanwhile with Jordan...♡
Jordan was currently sitting in his living room, flipping through the channels as Joey was finishing up ordering a pizza on the phone. "Yeah that's it, thank you very much bye". "Soo..."Joey began as he took the seat and Jordan turned off the tv deciding to play music instead. "What happened?"Jordan asked as he picked up a magazine and began to look through it. "Pizza will be here in an hour or less". "Oh great, cause I'm hungry". "Jordan, there's somethin' different about you". Jordan looked up from the page he was reading and cocked an eyebrow at him. "What do you mean Joe?". "Nothin' nothin' forget about it". "No no, now you gotta tell me, what's up?" Jordan urged. "I uh saw Ava today" Joey began paying close attention to how he reacted. Jordan's eyes immediately shot up, this time closing the magazine in the process and giving him his undivided attention. "Oh you did, where?". " Outside the coffee shop, near the university". "Did she say anything to you?" Jordan questioned. "Yeah, we talked for a little bit". At this point Jordan was getting impatient but tried to remain calm, he desperately wanted to ask Joey if Ava mentioned him in any way but that would give something away. "I told her about the trip". "Oh, and what did she say? Is she going?". " She didn't give me a definite answer but she assured me that she would tell you". A small smile appeared on Jordan's face after Joey said this. "You know, I can't get used to her accent, it's so lovely" Joey began, trying to test his limits. "It really is" Jordan agrees. "And she's got these eyes beautiful eyes, they're like caramel or honey don't you think?" Joey continued as his eyes remained fixated on Jordan's. Jordan's eyes seemed to begin to grow darker as he spoke wonders about his girlfriend. Joey wondered how much farther he could go before Jordan snapped but not enough to make him angry. "Her hair, is just wow, curly and it almost matches her eyes, I don't think I've ever seen hair like that in such a long time". "It's great hair" Jordan agreed as he watched Joey with careful eyes. "She's a year older than me, I recall". "She is?" Jordan said. Now he was sitting back on the couch, with his arms crossed over his chest, nodding at everything Joey was saying. "The way she looked during new years, that dress was stunning and did I mention she's a great dancer?". Jordan was almost at his boiling point, he wondered if Joey was saying this to make him angry or because he himself was interested in Ava. "No you did not" he answered waiting for him to proceed. "Me and Jon kept her company almost all night, I'm surprised nobody asked her to dance, she really stood out from the rest of the girls". "Oh did you guys?" Jordan responded, his lips were now forming into a tight line. Every so often, he'd clench his jaw and run his tongue over his lips. "I wonder if she had a new year's kiss because I was actually planning on kis-" Joey spoke knowing that he was about to tip him over the edge and Jordan finally snapped.
"Cut that out, she's my girl!". He firmly said with dark eyes. Joey's eyes widened but then smiled when he got what he wanted. "Ava is my girl" Jordan clarified as jealously had taken over. "Your what?" Joey decided to drag out wanting to find out exactly if what he and the guys assumed was true. "My girl, as in my girlfriend, as in she's taken, as in nobody gets to kiss her but me, as in she's... mine" Jordan finished making sure that Joey got the hint. "I knew it" Joey responded as they heard the doorbell ring and he stood up to answer. Jordan sighed in relief as he sat back on the couch, trying to compose himself. He was never the overly protective kind of boyfriend before but hearing Joey speak about Ava in that form, made him realize that it all really depended on the person he was in a relationship with. Joey thanked the man, gave him a tip and then closed the door bringing back the pizza. "We better eat it now before it gets cold," he said as he opened the box. Joey chuckled at Jordan's stubborn behavior, "Jordan, I was just fooling around, I just wanted to see if what me and the guys thought was true". Jordan's facial expression slightly softened, "Are you sure?". "Positive, I promise, I would never do that to you" Joey assured him. "Besides, we spoke about you today". "Who?". "Me and Ava"Joey answered. "What did you say Joe?"Jordan asked as he watched him take another bite of his pizza. "Nothin' nothin', just how I've noticed your sudden change of character since meeting her, somethin' along the lines of that". "I've changed?" Jordan questioned. "Well no, not necessarily changed but uhh you seemed happy right now like you've got your head in the clouds" Joey explained. "You told her that?" Jordan asked as his eyes widened. "No, I just said that you've been wearing your heart on your sleeve". Jordan groaned and threw his head back. "Joe why would you tell her that?". "Jordan, she didn't laugh or anything, but you should've seen her face when I said that, I don't want to be a tattle tail or anything but I think she feels the same way that you do about her". "And what exactly is that way?" Jordan asked. "I don't know Jordan, only you know that, but let me ask you one thing or better yet, I'll give you something to think about"
"Is it love?"
If you read the dialogue while imagining their Bostonian accents(Don't know if that made sense), it feels like an actual conversation that Joey and Jordan both had. How does jealous bf Jordan make you guys feel?
Leave me feedback! Please and thank you♡
