Jordan deepened in the kiss, causing many butterflies to flutter inside Ava's stomach. She truly could never get used to his touch, his scent, and his tenderness. "Mmm" Ava murmured before abruptly pulling away, causing him to open his eyes. "What? Something wrong? I didn't even bite yo-" he spoke but she cut him off. "I need to give you, your gift before I forget" Ava responded emphasizing the word 'forget'. "You can't even let me finish kissing you before this?" he asked and gave a small pout. "Nope, sorry I can't wait any longer" she answered and chuckled. Jordan let out a small sigh and waited for her next actions. Ava proceeded to find the small box in her bag and let out a small "aha" when she found it. Jordan eyed her curiously as she slowly extended her hand out to him. "I hope you like it" she said and grinned.

Slowly, he began to undo the small ribbon on top and tear at the delicate wrapping paper. His hands were very steady and his face held concentration as he finally opened the box. Inside the box, on top of the actual gift, was a small card with a handwritten message

Jordan smiled really big as did Ava. He moved the card out of the way and gasped when he saw a silver chain with a silver dog tag. Jordan grabbed it in his hand and noticed that it had his birthstone, an emerald gemstone situated in the center, with all of his initials at the bottom. "Turn it around" Ava spoke and he immediately flips it onto its backside.

"Do I even have to explain myself?" Ava joked and he shook his head while smiling. "Maybe I'll just give you a hint" she added. "It was my first kiss". "I love it so much," he said and briefly but softly kissed her on the lips. "Really?" she asked and he nodded. "Of course, it doesn't compare to what you gave me" she said and felt herself blushing from the reminder. "It does, of course, it does, it means the world to me, you mean the world to me" he admitted and her eyes widened. "Y-You want me to put it on for you?" she stammered and he nodded eagerly. With shaky hands, she grabbed the silver piece of jewelry and waited for him to turn around. Jordan was far too tall, even while sitting down for Ava to be able to reach him. She stood behind him, unfastened the chain and slipped each end around his neck. All that could be heard was both of their steady breathing. "There," she whispered when she finished and sat back down. "How does it look?" he asked. " Lovely" she answered and smiled.

"You didn't have to give me anything" he began but she cut him off. "I'm allowed to treat you too". "But I'm allowed to treat you more" he challenged and she shook her head while smiling. "We're 50 and 50 got it?" she said and he nodded. "Can I ask you something?" he asked while carefully closing the small box which contained his gift. "Yes, what is it?" she responded. "Why are you getting shy around me again?". The question was rather blunt but it wasn't harsh. It was true, she was beginning to feel timid again with his touch. "I guess I'm still trying to get used to it, the affection that is" she explained. Ava didn't understand it but she could initiate a makeout or cuddle session without any complaints but she can't bring herself to do it. Ava still had no idea how to be a girlfriend, but she did know how to respect and love him the way that she did. "But why baby?" he asked as he reached for her hand and she relaxed it. " I-I feel like.. you give it, more than you receive it". Jordan furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and she sighed. "And I think that you give it more without even thinking that you give it more". "I want to give you more, I know we've had s-". " Made love" he interrupted softly. "M-Made love before but that was once, I mean, don't you want to more often?" she asked. Jordan gave her a kittenish smile and grabbed her hand to kiss the top of it. "I'd love that, but I wouldn't pressure you into it" he admitted. "See that's what I mean, I want to do things for you, make you feel good and be intimate without feeling awkward about the situation".
