"Why are you looking at me like that?" Ava questioned as she noticed Jordan's deep gaze. "I-I uhh just can't believe you're here" he stammered and she chuckled. "What, do you not want me here or something?" she joked. Jordan shook his head and leaned down to peck her softly on the lips. "I'm so glad that you're here " he assured her. "Me too" she responded as she raised her hand up to his face, tracing the dimple on his left cheek. "Did I ever tell you how much I adore your dimples?" she spoke in a gentle voice as he shook his head. "You've only told me about my dreamy chocolate brown eyes" he recalled playfully and she grinned. Jordan basked in her touch, she was so gentle with him and she had a way of bringing him peace. Her thumb slowly traced his bottom lip as he watched her in silence. She leaned in once more to place a sweet delicate kiss in the center of his mouth and then one on his cheek. Jordan felt immense butterflies inside his stomach with these simple yet tender gestures. "C'mon let's go find the guys," she said as she beckoned for him to follow her.
It was now 2 pm and everybody was now eating lunch. A few snacks and sandwiches were packed in the meanwhile as Donnie and Danny drove to a nearby fast food place. As a matter of fact, the closest eating establishment was about 1 hour or so away which is why they decided to go right away. Jon and Joey chatted amongst themselves while Ava and Jordan did the same. "Hey, Ava, why don't you come on over here and tell us about college"Joey called and she obliged as Jordan followed behind. "Well what do you want to know?" she questioned with an amused smile. "Did you get accepted?" he asked and she nodded." Really?" he said excitedly. "Yes, I'm officially a college student in Boston university" she confirmed proudly. "oh my gosh Ava, congrats"Jon chimed in. "A college girl huh?" Joey said as he winked and she giggled. "Jordan you better be careful, she's a keeper, I'm sure a lot of guys are gonna be buzzing around her like bees" Joey teased and Jordan only laughed nervously. He had not thought about that, Ava was going to be surrounded by college boys. He was not planning on going to college himself as the new kids, were going well and this was the path that he had chosen. He was a bit concerned about her finding somebody there who shared the same interests as her but most importantly, somebody who wasn't going to leave her for months from time to time like he surely would due to his job. "If it didn't even happen back in my old college and all throughout high school, I'm more than sure that it won't happen here, and besides, I've got a boyfriend" she spoke as she grabbed Jordan's hand, giving it an assuring squeeze. "I was just teasing, college isn't about boys, it's about career and opportunities, which is amazing," Joey while beaming a smile. "It's not as spectacular as selling out concerts and making new music or having fans, but it's a way to go" Ava said and shrugged. "Our job isn't easy, but it comes with it's worth eventually" Jordan spoke. Joey and Jon both agreed by nodding their heads. Ava yawned as she was still kind of sleepy from not having the full 8 hours of sleep as needed. "Are you sleepy?"Joey asked her beating Jordan to the question. "A little"Ava admitted as she briefly rubbed her eye. "Want to take a nap in my tent? It's already set up?" he suggested. "If it's no bother" she said. "Nonsense. c'mon I'll take you to it, Jordan can keep you company if you don't want to be alone as it's a long distance away from the cabin"Joey finished.
Jordan and Ava followed him towards the dome-shaped tent that was pitched near the lake. Ava thanked him and climbed inside. Joey had lied out a thick blanket inside as Jordan sat outside the tent. "Jordan go with them, I'll be ok" Ava assured him loud enough for him to hear as she tried getting comfortable. "No way baby, we're in the middle of the woods" Jordan protested as Ava shook her head and chuckled. "So what, you're just going to sit out there like you were my bodyguard or something?" she teased as she peeked her head out. "Not unless you want me to join you, I wouldn't mind taking a nap with you" he chirped and she smiled while making way for him to enter the tent. "If you want to, be my guest but just remember that I'm not fond of cuddling and I like to take my naps in my own space," she teased as he stepped inside. Jordan's jaw dropped pretending to be slightly disappointed with her statement but nodded even though they both knew that she was indeed lying. "You don't like cuddling, I bet I could change that"he challenged as he crawled over her and she giggled. "I'm here to sleep and you're interrupting me" she whined as he leaned down to kiss her on the nose. "I'll let you sleep if you let me take a nap with you" he proposed and she groaned while throwing her head back. When she finally agreed, Jordan was quick to wrap his arm around her torso and pull her close to him, all while nuzzling his face into her neck. "You know" she began as she reached up to brush her free hand over his cheek. "If we continue this cupcake phase as I call it, I'm sure we're going to eventually get tired of each other". Jordan smiled and placed a soft lingering kiss on her neck, making a small gasp escape her lips as he had never kissed her there before. He smiled into her skin and then lifted his head to look at her. "Oh, believe me, I won't get tired of you but I really hope you won't get tired of me" he said while giving her a small smile. "I don't think I'll ever get tired of you" she whispered. Just when Jordan was about to lean in to kiss her, she purposely turned her body as if she was getting comfortable to fall asleep. He gasped and then laughed. "Oh? You just rejected my kiss?". Ava said nothing as her eyes were already closed but she tried her hardest to hold in her laughter.
