☽Home☾
When Ava got home, she stored the items away and headed to her room to tidy up a bit. She thought back to her encounter with Joey, Donnie, and Danny. They all gave off a good impression on her, she was considering going to the new year's party. Normally, Ava did not like speaking to strangers let alone making plans with them but she was already beginning to feel comfortable around these guys.

♡Week leading to Christmas♡
Christmas was leading up, the decorations were put up during the second week of December as usual. Ava didn't care much about presents, but only the food and the weather. She loved cold, windy and rainy days. Those type of days, she could just have as much hot chocolate or coffee while reading one of her favorite novels. Joey had called her only once about a few days after their encounter and meeting Donnie and Danny. He kept reminding her not to forget the party in Donnie's house and she assured him that he won't. Ava wasn't even thinking about the party due to college responses. finding a job and spending time with her mother and Wilbert. Needless, she wasn't making a big deal out of it, after all, it was only a party and she was there to have a good time. And also meet the 'Knight Brothers' as Joey referred to them.
♡Christmas Eve♡
Ava celebrated Christmas Eve the way they always did, her mother made Salvadoran food and Ave made some chocolate chip cookies. Ava didn't ask for anything but her mother and Wilbert had bought her an old-fashioned typewriter and her mother had bought her a fun casual long sleeve emerald velvet flowy dress along with short black boots. Ava questioned her mother for the random purchase as they both knew that she rarely ever went out, let alone to parties. Her mother claimed that it was just in case one day she did decide to go out. Ava thanked her and promised to them something next year as she still had yet to look for a job.
The rest of the evening consisted of watching classic Christmas movies and enjoying hot chocolate while doing so. Raven came over as she lived alone because she did not have any kids. The 4 of them spent a lovely Christmas talking amongst each other until Ava decided to break apart from the conversation as she was already sleepy.
Finally getting to her room, she removed her makeup and outfit, washed her face and brushed her teeth. Relieved when she felt the softness of the mattress under her body, Ava hummed in satisfaction. She cherished her time alone, especially times like this when the moon was shining so brightly outside her window creating a lovely glow inside the room. There was something about the night that brought reassurance and comfort. She pondered about how the year was going to end and a new year was just around the corner. Eventually, her mind stopped thinking and she fell to sleep.
☆2 days before New Years☆
Ava was walking into the kitchen, her mother was having a conversation, she entered the room and saw her mother had a smirk on her face. Her mother's eyes immediately widened when she noticed her daughter walking in, without a word she gestured for Ava to come over and handed her the phone. "Who is it?" Ava mouthed and her mother pretended not to hear and walked away. Ava shook her head in confusion and answered softly. "Hello?". "Ava, there you are. It's Joe, you haven't forgotten about our plans right?". "Umm no I haven't," she said as she fiddled with her hair. "Great great," he said and chuckled. "Did my mother tell you anything?" she asked but sort didn't want to know at the same time. "Nothing that you'd be embarrassed about" he assured her. "Oh okay good" Ava said and sighed in relief. " Listen, where do you want me to pick you up on Monday?" Joey asked her. "Oh uhh I was planning on driving myself there" she explained. "Oh no no no I can drive you, it's no problem and besides, you can't be driving back to your house by yourself" Joey said and she sighed while nodding. "Alright, umm pick me up at the coffee shop where we first met at 6?" she answered. "Alright, I'll do that, I'll make sure to be punctual" he assured her. "Thank you" she said and chuckled. "Very excited for you to meet Jon and Jordan" he said and she felt a weird feeling in her stomach. "Do they know about my existence?" she asked and he let out a hearty chuckle. "Of course they do, Donnie spoke to him about you". 'Him?' Ava thought. Before she could ask for him to clarify, he excused him claiming that he was busy and politely said goodbye and hung up.
