The next day...
She had awakened bright and early. Had her morning coffee and jumped into the shower. Today was her first day on the job. She was expected to get there by 10 AM. Apparently, they had some important stuff coming up and she couldn't have joined the team in the most perfect time. All she managed to eat, was a blueberry muffin before she was out the door.
Getting into her car, she set her bag and folder on the passenger seat. She pulled out of the driveway and drove off. On the way to the office, she decided to turn on the radio, hoping that some good tunes would make her day better. She almost missed the stop sign as Jordan's voice echoed in the car. It sounded like the same song from last night. "What the fuck" she muttered to herself. Ava shook her head feeling annoyed at this. She convinced herself that it was pure coincidence. She also knew that Jordan moved forward with his career after NKOTB disbanded back in 94. The radio was turned off moments after and was left that way for the remainder of the ride.

Ava parked in a private lot very close by to the office. Her small heels clicking on top of the concrete as she made her way towards the entrance. The same man from the day before greeted her. "Welcome, Miss Ava?". She nodded and smiled. "Thank you-" she said and trailed off not remembering his name. "Michael" he answered. "Oh sorry, I don't think I got your name yesterday. She apologized. thanks, Michael". He smiled and held the door open for her. As she walked in, she noticed that the place was eerily quiet. The sound of papers rustling and stapling filled the room. Ava approached the front desk where Tayler was putting together packets. "Hey" Ava greeted feeling unsure of the situation. Tayler looked up and smiled. "Good morning, miss Ava" she greeted. "I think it's safe to say that we can definitely use first name basis" Ava responded and chuckled softly. "Thought you wouldn't have recognized me" Tayler admitted as she continued to highlight some words on a few of the papers. "I did though. Small world huh?" Ava said and Tayler agreed. "How are you girl?" Tayler asked. Never tearing her eyes away from her desk. Ava noticed the shiny band that was worn on her left forefinger. "Oh, are you married?" She asked forgetting to respond to her previous question. "I am" Tayler answered and peered up. She grinned and nodded. "Wow, congrats" Ava gushed. "Thanks" Tayler responded politely.
Before Tayler could ask her the same, Ava shifted the conversation. "Is there any reason why it's so quiet or is it usually this quiet in the mornings?". "Oh, I believe we had a few interviews scheduled for today" Tayler explained as she looked through the small agenda on her desk. "You guys do interviews?" Ava continued. "Not on the daily but yes we do interview guests and people working in the limelight". Just as she said this, one of the main doors cracked open and a blonde woman in a fuschia pink long sleeve dressed walked out. Tayler excused herself as she carried the paper packets into a small room located in the back.
"Thank you so much for coming, Mr. Jordan Knight" the woman spoke as she held the door open. "Oh, Well thanks for having me" spoke a soft voice as the person walked out. It felt as if the wind was knocked out of Ava as he walked into the room.
When he turned his head and his eyes fell upon her. Jordan believed that the world was in favor of him. Somehow they kept ending up in the same room. He thanked the woman and they parted ways. The sound of a door closing, left both of them sharing a dangerous tension. Silence drowned them whole. "I believe in coincidences" he began cutting the silence short. "But I don't think that this one of them" he admitted while shaking his head. Ava looked at him feeling the butterflies in her stomach stir. "I work here-" she said trying not to agree with that statement. "Since when?" He questioned. "I've done my fair share of interviews and promo stuff here. Never seen you around". "I started today" she admitted. "Today huh?" He repeated and she nodded slowly. "Why do you do that?" He began."Do what?" She asked as her eyebrows furrowed. "You act like I'm going to hurt you or something" He pointed out. Ava was quick to disagree. "No, absolutely not".
