Loki's Plan

(Soleil's POV)

They all watched as Bruce turns to look down at his hand; holding Loki's sceptre, and the shock that graces his face soon after. The sound of the Stark computer beeping; indicating a 'match found' grabbed their attention.

"Got it." Tony stated.

Bruce puts down the sceptre back on the table and makes his way over to the computer. "Sorry, Kids. You don't get to see my little party trick after all."

"You located the Tesseract?" Thor asked as Natasha followed after Bruce.

Tony looked towards Soleil. "We can get there the fastest."

"Look, all of us..." Steve started but Thor's voice boomed over his.

"The Tesseract belongs on Asgard, no human is a match for it." Thor pointed out.

Soleil walked over towards Tony and they both turn to leave, but Steve stops them; grabbing Tony's arm.

"You're not going by yourselves!" Steve ordered.

"You gonna stop us?" Soleil challenged.

Tony slapped Steve's arm off his. "Or just me?!"

Steve's jaw set. "Put on the suit, let's find out."

"I'm not afraid to hit an old man." Tony said matter of factly.

Steve gritted his teeth. "Put on the suit."

Soleil's claws came out before her ears swivelled around to rhythmic increase of the beeping sound coming from the monitor Bruce was currently looking at.

"Oh my God!" Bruce said under his breath, but Soleil heard him and raised a brow. Until the sound of an explosion in the distance filled her ears.

"SHIT!" Soleil cried out just as the shockwave hit and a secondary explosion blew up around them.

Everyone was thrown in different direction. Steve, Fury, Thor and Tony are thrown in a similar direction while Soleil, Natasha and Bruce are blown through the glass of the lab. Natasha and Bruce fall down to the lower level while Soleil snags the side of the edge with her claws; grimacing as shattered glass digs into her hands.

Tony and Steve are the first to regain some of their bearings, and Tony immediately starts looking around for Soleil.

"SOL!" Tony yelled.

"Go! I'm fine!" Soleil said through gritted teeth as she began hauling herself back up.

"Put on the suit!" Steve stands up.

Tony looks towards Soleil once more, seeing her get up over the edge before turning around. "Yep!"

Soleil gasped as she rolled onto her back once on solid ground again, looking over at Fury sitting up and shaking his head to rid himself of the dizziness.

Fury presses a finger to his earpiece. "Hill?!"

"External detonation! Number 3 engine is: down! Can we get a run in?" Soleil hears Maria through Fury's earpiece. "Talk to me."

"Turbine's looks mostly intact, but it's impossible to get out there to make repairs while we're in the air." An agent explained.

"If we lose one more engine, we won't be." Maria forewarned. "Somebody's got to get outside and patch that engine!"

"Stark! You copy that?!" Fury asked for clarification.

"I'm on it!" Tony's voice cut in.

Fury stood up and started to make his way out of the lab. "Coulson! Initiate official lock down in the detention section then get to the armoury! Move out!"
