Unexpected to Least Expected

Chapter 23~What did you say

*6:24pm*

My phone rings. I move off the bed and answer it tiredly, "Hello?"

"We're outside. Are you going to let us in we've been knocking for the passed 10 minutes."

"Oh sorry we fell asleep." I get out of bed and walk towards the door, "I'm coming."

"Okay." I open the door and hang up. They walk in, "It took us a little while to realize we needed to go down a dirt path. The gps was being stupid."

I laugh, "Well you guys can stay in the room at the end of the hall if you want. But Kooks told me to inform you that that's his parents room and that if you find anything weird to not worry about it."

Tae gives a confused look, "What kind of weird things?"

I shrug my shoulders, "Don't know. He wasn't specific."

"Okay then." They walk over into the room and drop their bags, "So what are we gonna do for the mean time?" Tae looks over at me.

I look over at the bedroom where Kook is sleeping, "Ummm. I should probably check on Kook. You guys can do whatever you want."

Ray walks towards the kitchen, "I'll start making some supper. I'm starving." Tae follows.

I laugh and enter the bedroom. I sit down next to him and check the bandage on his arm. The doctor said to change it once a day and make sure nothing gets infected. His head was fine once we got to the hospital they gave him a couple stitches and that was it. For his arm they just bandaged it up and said to clean it.

I gently take the bandage off his arm. He's not bleeding that much anymore, so that's good. A scabs started to form. I take the first aid kit, that I put next to the bed earlier, and take out some disinfectants and bandages. I poor some onto a cotton ball and gently tap against his cut.

He winces, "Ow. T-that hurts." He says in a quiet and sleepy tone.

I continue to clean it, "You know I have to do this."

He winces again, "I know. It still stings though."

I finish cleaning it and I put another bandage over his arm. After I finish I lean forward and kiss his forehead, "All done."

He smiles, "Thank you." His stumach grumbles.

I laugh, "Hungry?"

He nods, "I haven't eaten since yesterday. Are Ray and Tae almost here?" He sits up.

I nod, "Yeah ,Ray's making something to eat. Knowing her it should be ready soon." I stand up and help him up too. We walk over to the livingroom.

I sit him down on the couch. Tae's sitting on the other end, "Hey Jungkook. How you feeling?"

Kook sighs, "Could be better." He pulls me back onto his lap.

"Thanks again for coming Tae. I know this is probably not how you want to spend your days off."

"Nah it's fine. This is probably better than me just staying in bed all day on my phone."

"Who's hungry?" Ray announces from the kitchen.

"Me!" Kook says. Ray comes into the room with 2 bowls. She passes them to Kook and I. She goes back into the kitchen and gets two more and then passes one to Tae.

Kook starts to eat it right away. Ray laughs, "Did y/n not feed you or something?"

Kook stops eating for a moment and looks up with big eyes. His cheeks are full of noodles. Ray and I laugh at the cuteness, "We fell back to sleep and forgot to eat." I took a bite of the noodles.

"You know you sleep a lot right." Tae says.

"No I've actually been sleeping a lot less than the first trimester. I've just been having random energy bursts at like the worst times."

Kook nods, "Yeah most nights she's up till like 5 am. Then she comes back to bed and sleeps till passes noon." I look over at Kook and he's finished his noodles. His cheeks are still puffy and he looks like he's about to fall asleep.

I gently rub his cheek with my thumb, "You look tired Kook."

He shakes his head, "I'm okay." He yawns.

Tae stands up and grabs our dishes, "You guys can go rest I'll do the dishes."

I look up at him, "Are you sure?" He nods and walks to the kitchen with the dishes.

I look back at Kook his eyes are closed and he's laying against the couch sitting up right. I laugh to myself and get up. He mumbles something, "What did you say?"

He lifts his head off the side of the couch and looks at me with his eyes still shut, "Don't leave me."

"Come to bed." He nods and stands up. I take his hand and walk him to bed. I wave at Ray on the way, "Night."

"Night."

I pull Kook into the bedroom and close the door. I change out of my clothes and he just stands there next to me half asleep. I put on a random shirt and put him in bed. I take off his pants and shit and push him under the covers.

I get in next to him and he pulls me into his chest, "I love you."

I push back from him so that we're looking at eachother. He what?, "Kook what did you just say?" No response just snores. I lay back against him and try and process what he just said.

I get up and gently get out of the bed. He doesn't wake up. I walk to the door and gently open and close it. I slowly walk towards the kitchen/livingroom area.

Tae walks out of the kitchen and gives me a confused look, "You okay?"

I look up at him my face still filled with shoke, "He said he loves me."

His eyes widened, "Really? Wait why?" He sounds disappointed.

I just keep looking at him with a shoked face, "I-I don't know."

"What do you mean, I don't know?"

I brush my hand against my face, "I don't know. I don't even think he was thinking, he just said it and fell asleep."

Ray walks out into the hall, "What's going on?" Her face is filled with worry.

Tae sighs, "Jungkook just told her he loves her and fell asleep, now she doesn't know how to react."

Ray gives me a look that says 'are you stupid', "Y/n." She grabs my face and makes me focus on hers, "You don't need to think about this. You don't need to react, you just need to know. Do you love him too?"

I look at her with the same shoked expression, "I, umm. I don't know."
